This is definitely one of the nicest beaches on Lk Michigan. Great sand, plenty of room, great facilities, and lots of family fun.

You can't get bigger or cleaner than this beach! A great place to enjoy the sunset over the water. There are three playgrounds in walking distance of the sand. Parking is free, but it is so large it'll take you a few minutes to walk all the way to the water.

They are building condos next to the playground & mixing concrete on site. All of the dust particles were blowing towards the kids & we felt that was not safe. The pavilions are great for a picnic lunch, but we kept getting bit by flies - so much we left after 10 minutes. We were disappointed. Remove the construction & flies & it would have been awesome. The beach is huge with plenty of free parking.

Lovely beach in a small community. Great view of dunes. Parking available easy hike to beach., Bathrooms, picnic tables.

IF you can catch this area on a weekday, you practically have the beach to yourselves. It is actually a series of interconnect beaches. You can walk along the shore, sunbath, or enjoy the views from the deck as the fishing boats come in from Lake Michigan. There are several beautiful views of the the lighthouse. Parking is free! The lighthouse park area (3 minutes walk south) has nice bathrooms and a concession stand.

We really enjoyed this beach on our trip to Manistee. The water was beautiful. There was plenty of room so we could stay socially distant from others while still having fun. My kids had a great time in the water.

Loved seeing the lighthouse. Clean beach! We walked the shoreline to find Petoskey stones. It was close to downtown & to our hotel. Fun to watch the boats in the Marina.

Many beaches in the area were damaged by storms and high water levels. This beach is still nice and wide, and has plenty of free parking.

A really nice beach that we stumbled across while driving up the coast. Public restrooms, pavilions, playgrounds, and free parking are plenty. The waves were great the day that we were there and the color of the water was fantastic.

I'm planning a weekend getaway for Thanksgiving weekend. Will the lighthouse and beaches be open? Not looking to swim...my partner is from the UK and wants to see Lake Michigan. I thought Manistee would be thr best place for him to get the feel of Michigan while seeing our beautiful lakes.

I'm not sure as I don't live in the area, but if I had to guess I would say yes. It is really less of a beach than a picnic area, overlook with some beach. There are also ares nearby where you can drive by the water.
