Went for lunch so no drinks, Had the Michigan Cherry Salad and it was super fresh and had a great house made dressing served on the side. Nancy my server was very friendly and delivered great service. Not really sure what was better..... Food or the Service!

Dinner was good. Greasy onion rings. Music is over the top loud. You must talk very loud to be heard. High decibel dining warning!

Friday fish special was awesome. Waitress was Cheyenne and she was great. Had all yes I can answers and made us feel like we were family. Great prices, great food. We went back the next day for Saturday Prime Rib. We did not have the same waitress and she was not as nice. I asked for rare prime rib and received medium. Prime Rib I received quality wise was not worth what I paid. The place was not packed but the roar of everyone trying to talk over the obnoxious loud jute box and blaring loud TV was not relaxing. I asked to have the jute box turned down and was told it's up to the bartender. The bartender did hit the volume down a click but was not near enough. So I will change my review to 2.5 stars. It appears hit and miss on how your evening will be at JP's.

J.P. McGuire's has really grown on me.
The beer is ice cold, the service is outstanding, and the food is terrific!
I have been there for their open mic nights, music trivia, or just to hang out on a random night.
Give this place a try!

This is a great local place to meet with friends or to have a quick meal with family. A lot of good homemade food items on the menu and reasonable prices. My adult children and I enjoy the Hand Made Chicken Strips the most.

When I moved to Taylor a year ago, a barber identified this as a good local bar. Since then, we’ve discovered that the burgers are great, the deluxe pizza is exceptional, and it’s all a great value.
We’ve been disappointed by many national chains it Taylor, but thrilled with this local gem.

Great food, especially the pizza and appetizers. They also have a large selection of beers and liquor. Attended events in the banquet room and it was always a pleasant time. Clean, friendly service, enclosed smoking patio, good parking.

We met for lunch, this time we ordered pizza - last time we shared the meatloaf dinner. Both meals were filling & we had leftovers for later. Sooo

I love this place ever since they remodeled a while back. You can go for dinner, drinks and a good time and you won't be disappointed.

I used to drive by this place nearly every day wondering if it was worth a try... My curiosity was satisfied one day after a particularly difficult college exam. I had a hankering for a stiff drink, but wound up drinking from the tap. I am not a big bar goer/drinker so I never know what to order. The waitress was no help. She said they don't have a lot of drinks. Interesting for a bar... Feeling famished and stressed, I decided to go with a bud light. We ordered a couple burgers, a side salad, and fries. I must say, I was expecting some bagged salad with a grape tomato or two and some shredded carrots. Instead, I got fancy frise and spring mix with huge bias cut slices of cucumbers, two wedges of tomato and a lot of delicious croutons. I finished my bud light and the bar tender came over to see if we wanted more drinks. I mentioned wanting something fruity, I meant a margarita or mixed drink. He took it as I wanted a cider or beer, which was perfectly fine. He brought over 4 samples and explained what they were. He was super nice and very patient with this bar virgin. I wish I had asked his name. I selected a pumpkin beer and finished it with the rest of my burger. We left shortly after that satisfied and with full stomachs. We ended up doing a carryout order last week. The food was delicious and the process of ordering over the phone and picking up was very pleasant. We will definitely be returning!
