Bayline loop park and ride from Meijer to downtown is amazing, reliable, frequent, and free. Faster than driving downtown, finding a parking space, then finding and paying for a metered space that might expire before you're ready to go.

Okay I understand that there are staffing shortages but I called to schedule a ride at 8:00 which is when they accept calls. I didn’t get picked up till 9:08. That is ridiculous. I am now late to work.

Bata Bus dead stopping on US Hwy 31 South is completely insane and should not be allowed!! People are driving well over 60 half the time and needing to slam on their breaks for a stopped bus!! Bata should NOT allow "flagged" stops on busy highways period. When called to voice concern to Bata they just seemed to not give two cents about how UNSAFE it is.

2 months of using this Bus system; Bus is always late, one of the drivers is rude and sometimes they would just drive past us.

Extremely Rude Bus Driver!! ........I waited 25 minutes for this bus (not knowing the exact spot or system, I was there 15 minutes early). The time comes and goes when the bus is supposed to be there for pick up so I wander to the main street and to look around after 5-10 minutes and still no bus......so I'm thinking maybe it's not running in this area during Cherry Festival. I google the phone # and call. The operator/dispatcher looks on his garmin/radar and says it does run and he is behind schedule and I should see him in less that 5 mins. Well he was right, the bus and driver pull in (what I thought was the wrong way of the driveway, past me at a good speed looking at while I'm looking at him (walking at a fast pace back to the "bus stop" 40 yards away), stops abruptly looks at me again and asks me loudly if I need a ride (While he clearly could see me walking towards the bus stop). I said "yes" he then yells at me to hurry up and that I didn't wave at him.
Well I'll say what I wanted to say then....1) I was at the correct spot at the scheduled pick up time. 2) I'm a tourist here and don't know your bus policies about waving. 3) It wasn't my fault your clown *** was late, so quit yelling at me... 2/5 because we made it safe.

I've been a fan of BATA since moving to the area. I've never owned a vehicle since moving here and I've been able to get to some amazing spots thanks to BATA. They service Leelanau country so you can go to beautiful beach towns like Empire or Northport without a vehicle. There's plenty of routes to choose from and certain routes run very frequent. If it wasn't for BATA I wouldn't have had half the adventurous I had going to wonderful summer spots with my bicycle. Yes, they offer BIke & Ride so yo can bring your bicycle with you. I've been fortunate to live in two areas of Traverse City where I'm just a block away from one of their stops. BATA is the ultimate, a treasure to the Traverse City area.

The Bata bus system is entirely unreliable. For example just now as the bus was pulled over at a stop I ran up to it and flagged it down. Despite seeing me, and me being at the stop the driver looked at me and drove off. This service is entirely useless. They're almost never on time and going one place can take up to two hours. Avoid using this horrible bus system when you can.

This is a very convenient bus service and I was delighted to learn that they run on bio-diesel fuel! A clue to the social conscience of this very cool town.

The Cherry Festival free shuttle is convenient, but limited in scope and capacity. Other lines run half-hourly or hourly. School bus style busses.
