As we drove the Old Mission Peninsula all the way to the top, we noted that we wanted to stop at Chateau Grand Traverse on our way back to Traverse City. My wife went in to find out the particulars of where our dog was allowed, and then we were met on the beautiful patio by one of the staff who explained the wines to us in great detail. We each had one glass, but I could have spent the entire afternoon there in the quiet of the patio. Before leaving we went into the winery and gift shop and bought souvenirs and many bottles of wine that we both enjoyed on the remainder of our trip as well as saving some to enjoy at home.
Wonderful place. I hope to go back some day and spend more time there.

This is a beautiful winery . Was here for the wine dinner. Food was fabulous. The Riesling is one of the best I have ever tasted. Highly recommend it !

Wonderful winery and tasting room on the peninsula. Very nice charcuterie tray on the patio overlooking the vineyards

We did wine tasting there. They have a nice variety of interesting wines. The gift shop is full of gift ideas.

We enjoyed the bar-type tasting at this winery. Our host, Will, was very knowledgeable and helpful, and the wines are reasonably priced. Be sure to try the cherry dessert wine. 🍒

Nice variety of wines for all tastes. Cute little shop. Friendly staff. Very scenic outdoors. Plenty of seating. Larger facility would work for larger groups.

My significant other and I were exploring Traverse City and we were recommended this winery from a local distillery the night before. Their customer service was phenomenal and truly made our experience even better. Not only were we able to keep our wine glass from taste testing, but the workers were super friendly and quite helpful. Overall I highly recommend!!

This was a good experience because our sever told us a lot about the wine we were tasting. The setting was pretty but we just stood at the tasting bar. The wine was good also.

they were closed on Monday but we so wanted to go here that we made a special stop on way out of town on our last day ..so glad we did we had a great tasting very unhurried and informative led by their tasting supervisor who had been with them a number of years and was familiar with their " ship of fools" wine that we had tried a few years back and was really the reason we even knew about the Traverse city wine industry. we had some of the best wines of the trip and even tho we only had 7 slots left in our last case.. got 8 bottles between us.
