36-foot-tall brass and copper iron miner is a tribute to the "Iron Man". Great stop for photo-op after visiting the Hull Rust Mine.

You don't see something like this every day....It's hard to imagine even how they created it. A symbol of The Iron Range, it's miners. my ancestors worked in the mines....I worked helping building one....The Mines have provided for the people of the Range, BUT, mining has had it's ups & downs through the years ...causing Boom, and also crashes in economy when production fell and miners were laid off.

It a very impressive statue. The base makes the iron man appear smaller than it actually is. Across the road is the Minnesota Discovery Center with a much more detailed story of the area but require admission. Iron Man is free

This is a quick photo to take in the monument and remember the workers that the statue memorializes. It boasts itself to be the 3rd or 4th tallest free standing statue in the country.

This statue is a fitting tribute to miners past, present and future. It is well crafted and interesting to look at. Bring your kids and take pictures with your kids.

This was a tribute to the early miners. Should have been a viral young immigrant but the result was this old man figure. A very sad result

First off let me say that the photo accompanying this listing is incorrect, the photo is of the Minnesota Discovery Center across the street, while the photo accompanying the listing for the Minnesota Discovery Center is actually of the Iron Man Statue. Trip Advisor, are you reading this? That being said, this statue is huge, you can't miss it, it is dedicated to all of the miners who toiled under adverse conditions in Minnesota. It is a free attraction in a park, worth stopping for a few minutes.
