I feel like this area is very beautiful. Well kept! However, I am pursuing a doctorate in the medical field and one day, I hope to start a family. I am in the area for a nice community and the general population seemed nice and cordial, but lacking positive influence in terms of embracing other cultures. I saw little diversity. And this is something that I kept to myself as a minority and it is something that I feel should be addressed in this day and age... where is the inclusivity? How is this community embracing culture besides the obvious neutrality of dog parks? I am wondering if YOU as a community are thinking about how much of an impact you are making if visitors of various races or cultures are in the market for a possible permanent residence? I feel like you guys have a great community. There appears to be amazing youth sports opportunities (the baseball fields look like they're vacant, but those look enticing for kids that I would imagine to expand their curiosity in baseball! I loved being a shortstop in the town I grew up in!) , a rather well stocked gym, great activites for all seasons and ages, great schools, public libraries, a plethora of nature atractions and breathtaking scenery, but I look into your city's website and... I'm just not on board with the lack of... and this might seem insensitive - people of color. The lack of progression in terms of cultural inclusivity is a big turn off. Especially in this day and age. Are you, as a community, aware of this? I do not mean to offend, but I feel that a person of a certain color... I would lean towards the no. Which is sad, because I feel like this place has it all. Just a little backwards in terms of progression. I grew up in a positive environment to embrace humanity, regardless of race but when I visit some places such as Crosslake, I feel the heaviness of hypocrisy in what America stands for. I feel that my speciality in the field of medicine can benefit everyone, but that is intimidating for a place like this.

My wife & I are walkers. When it’s cold outside the Community Center is also open for walkers. Check with the center for walking hours as the center is used for other activities. The Community library is in the same building. Senior meals available.

We stopped by here to go for a hike but got rained out. But I would suggest this as a place to go with small children. They had a lot of playground, parks etc. Lots to do here.

Went to the community center and rented some snowshoes and then explored some of the nearby trails. The rental cost was very reasonable for the quality of the equipment and the trails were nice too. They have pretty ice tennis courts available in the summer as well.

The community center is very nice and houses a lot of ammenities for the locals. Very nice facility with a lot to offer.

Snowshoes in the winter, pickle ball, basketball, outdoor sports fields, skating in the winter- it's a year round resource with excellent activities for all ages. It's a great place to take the kids on a rainy day to use their indoor gym!

Never been inside, but the tennis courts are awesome and nobody is ever there. Daughter and I usually have the courts to ourselves.

Cross lake is a fun and relaxing vacation getaway in lake country of MN. The local residents have a really great community center and library open to the public. It is off the main drag, and not even in the "town square". Another impressive feature is a well kept and challenging 9 hole disc golf course. It looks like a labor of love. Crosslake is looking like a great place to live year round.

I am a member of the community center's fitness center. It has ample equipment (free weights, machines, and cardio equipment), a gym, and small shower/changing area. Additionally, there are skiing/hiking trails, a place for bbqs and birthdays, a playground, baseball fields, soccer fields and tennis courts. To top it all off, the library is attached. This is a great place for anyone who lives in, or visits Crosslake.
