As our first foray into Duluth, my wife looked for visitor centers. The downtown main visitor center is closed on Sunday which actually turned out to be a good thing. Down the way, there is a wonderful stop just next to I-35. It’s all torn up as they renovate the area, so I didn’t have much hope (oh ye of little faith). It was actually great. First, there's an amazing view of Lake Superior. And there are lots of materials. And best of all, we chatted with Jeff the attendant for quite a while. After exploring our trip, he wanted to go with us on our journey. Good stop.

This is a must visit destination at Duluth. You can get a magnificient view of the surrounding areas, St Louise river and lake Superior. Make sure you check the weather on apps like climacell and WOW before you visit, since foggy days are not ideal. You can get a lot of free information. However, there might be some restrictions due to Covid

Of course Covid-19, and the reasonable precautions needed to slow its spread, have obviated some of the services, the facility is still open, still doing its job, and still providing some fantastic birds-eye-views of the Duluth, MN and Superior, WI area. They also still have packets full of local travel information for visitors. Great facility.

Whether it's your first or 50th visit to Duluth, this is a great place to begin your visit. One minute from the freeway. Offers incredible views of Duluth, Lake Superior, & St. Louis River. Lots of free valuable travel info. Friendly staff.

Alwasy clean and the best views. Tons of maps and area information. It's a very nice place to stretch your legs and take in the views of Lake Superior.

It's a little tricky to get to the center but just pay attention to the signs and will not be a problem. I did not know that this place existed but was up in Duluth with some friends and we made a rest stop here. Filled with information for whatever you are looking to do. This center has staff that I noticed were spending considerable time with some people explaining Duluth and the surrounding areas. Many brochures and catalogs with maps to help you with your visit to the area.

This rest stop on the (South) Western edge of Duluth is clean and well maintained. It is also a tourist information center and keeps a stock of brochures for many area attractions. It is built on a hilltop, and there is a panoramic view out the backside of the building. Each of the windows has a plaque below it describing what you are seeing through that window pane.
Several reviews have commented that it's one of the best places to get an overview of the Duluth-Superior harbor. I am a native of Duluth, and I will beg to differ slightly. It is a great overview of the western half of Duluth and much of the base of the St.Louis River that empties into the bay area at the center of Duluth. The view is greatly enhanced by the descriptive plaques and literature as well as the staff at the center.
That being said, it's relevant to say that Duluth is not like the round layout of many cities. It is a long, thin ribbon of a city along the south shore of the western end point of Lake Superior. The city is 25 miles long and only 3 miles wide. There are several surrounding communities that make the urban area a bit fatter, but the best views are from the tops of the range of hills that form the backdrop of the part of the city that borders Lake Superior.
For more information on that, search Tripadvisor for Duluth, MN, then "Skyline Parkway", "Enger Park and Tower" & "Minnesota's North Shore Scenic Drive" to see where the more hidden gems and viewpoints may be accessed.

Great place to stop, take a break and get info on duluth and anywhere in Mn if you want. Clean restrooms and vending machines are handy. Nice view of the city and river from thier overlook. Cool map of the entire duluth area by the viewing windows.
