So fun! Highly recommend. Place was clean, and a family run business. The employee that was there was extremely kind.

Clues were confusing and some just too difficult to piece together, with different people in our group trying to figure out what to do where and not really connecting with other clues being explored by others in our group. Very disjointed and lacking any logical progression to solve clues and piece the information together to reach the end goal.
Our group consisted of fairly smart individuals, eager to participate, including one individual who has participated in over 10 escape rooms. Game rooms are challenging and fun, but not meant to be an exercise in futility!! We all felt this one was organized in a way that made solving clues and reaching an end goal very abstract and not workable. Of course, we had fun together.... but were disappointed in the way the Clara Clockenstein game room was set up! Just too multi-layered and very confusing.

Been to other escape rooms. This one was the best! Rooms were great and puzzles not easy, but not too difficult. Props to Matt our host. He was great!

I’ve been to this place multiple times and it has been great. This last weekend however I went for my daughter’s birthday and one of the puzzles (and I think really two) did not work- we solved the clue but nothing happened. The person working our room kind of just shrugged and says this happens sometimes. We ended up spending alot of time on this puzzle when we actually solved it. No apology, no offer of getting to try a different room or no discount. It was a strange and disappointing ending,

The clues were challenging like you would expect but we solved it in a little less than 60 minutes! It was perfect for 9 year olds but would be perfect for adults too! The staff was great! Very helpful! I’d go back again!

We love escape rooms and this was our first visit to Missing Pieces and we will be back! The lobby is big and friendly, the staff was great and knew exactly when to offer us a hint, and the puzzle room had high quality materials and enough red herrings to feel like a real room. We'll be back to do them all, and only wish they had more, and more for small groups. Hints are given typed on-screen, which is our favorite way. And the Minnesota names and theming are a cute extra touch. Highly recommended.

Great place but wish website put the ages for kids and what would be good for each. Brought a couple families and was too hard even for the adults. The host was great and helpful. After another one in another location, I recommend good thinking adults!

Have been here before but came back to do two more rooms that were new to us. I can't say enough about this place. SO MUCH FUN! We have done so many escape rooms and this is seriously one of the best ones we have ever been to. Such great puzzles, fantastic designs and the atmosphere and homemade super cool techy puzzles all create wonderful effects. We will be back as soon as there is another room that we haven't done. Can't wait!

Just ventured here for our second time. It was AWESOME! We had a group of 8 ranging in age from 11 to 70. Everyone had a great time. We've done a large number of rooms, this one was very creative and not just the usual combo type room. Each puzzle was very original and tied nicely to the room theme. We will be back to try their last 2 rooms... highly recommend.

Has anyone done Missing Pieces and the Mall of America escape rooms? If so, which one is the better option?

Missing Pieces has some good escape rooms and the Mall of America, while I have only done one of theirs, has nice escape rooms as well but they are also more expensive. I would definitely recommend the Cuckoo's Clock at Missing Pieces. That has been my favorite and it is a family owned business as well.
