Went for a walk to walk off our dinner by the lake. Beautiful night. After the long walk it was time for a snack. Root Beer Floats it was.

Tommy’s Trolley serves Sebastian Joe’s ice cream out of the trolley parked on the shores of Lake Minnetonka in Excelsior. The brownie sundae was bigger then expected and the vegan chocolate ice cream was amazing and I’m not a vegan. It has amazing flavor and you can’t beat the view on a nice summer day.

A wee slice of Americana photo opportunity. A little marina town where the trolley has become an ice cream stand right on the edge of the marina. Outdoor seating is available but you will want to walk around this quaint little town and just enjoy the amble and vibe. Ice cream is Sebastian Joe's collection of yummy and they have options like Raspberry dark chocolate chip and Brownie Sundae. They also have other treats but the ice cream is the real summer draw. Stay an rent a Kayak if you are a daring date.

Just a short line waiting to order, but family from town unexpectedly met friend from work. Popular place with great view of marina is a good place to take a paved walk along the shore to walk off calories.

I'm not even a big ice cream eater and we went twice in one week! The brownie sundae is amazing. Beautiful scenic area located on Lake Minnetonka.

Took my family to Tommy's for an afternoon of paddleboarding and kayaking. Their equipment is awesome, and afterwards we had the best ice cream we've ever had. My kids want to now go back there all the time.

Our daughter and friends were in town from Denver and anxious to try paddle boarding. We drove into Excelsior with them and had the pleasure of meeting and having a delightful chat with Tommy Drummond, the owner of Tommy's Tonka Trolley. Until that afternoon we only knew about the great Sebastian Joe's ice cream sold from the trolley. In addition the ice cream there are also kayaks & paddle boards available to rent! While the crew paddle-boarded and had fun we enjoyed ourselves sitting on a bench enjoying the view and ice cream and chatting with Tommy, whom I am sure has never met a stranger!

It was a beautiful summer day. We rented a double sit-on-top kayak for a couple hours to circumnavigate this beautiful residential bay on Lake Minnetonka. The young staff members at TTT were very helpful and didn't make me feel self conscious because a bad knee makes me awkward at boarding a kayak. We enjoyed our time on the lake very much and equipment worked just great.

I been to Tommy Tonka Trolley for the great ice cream but also for the kayaking. It's great to be on the lake during the week when there are fewer power boats and you are moving along in a kayak.
