We were here last night to watch a concert at the Surly Brewing Festival Field. While the show was good, the organization of the event was frustrating. Long lines at the food trucks taking 20-30 minutes to get food and an equally long line to buy beer tickets that are required to stand in another line to get your drinks. If this needs to be the set up, more stands needs to be set up selling drink tickets and I would highly recommend getting food elsewhere before arriving at the event

Saw our first show at Surly Festival Field. It was a beautiful summer night and great show but they need to make changes to their ticket/beer set up. Have to wait in really long lines (and wait up to 20 minutes) to get tickets in order to get a beer or food. We missed the first song and a half waiting in line. Not sure of the benefits of this system. seems simple enough to let people buy beer or food with cash/card. If you have to do this complicated system for reasons I don’t understand, maybe make tickets available online prior to the event. Heard lots of people complaining about this silly system.

Nice brewery, great selection of beers, friendly staff and overall nice atmosphere, it’s reasonably priced and I bet the food is good too.

This came highly recommended by a native of Minneapolis. One of the best breweries I ever been to. Food was good, beers were excellent and the service was great. I'll be back!

Wonderful brewery with a huge selection of beers. My husband has been a home-brewer and professional brewer and has always been impressed with Surly, which we hope will be available in Kansas or Missouri soon. This brewery does have food prepared on site (some do not so be aware of that!)
Some tips:
- It gets really busy. Make a reservation in advance.
- Plan your trip well, including responsible transportation.
- Moderation! Only amateurs get drunk at a brewery. It’s disrespectful to those of us who really enjoy quality craft brew. I found out that Uber drivers are hesitant to pick up fares here because of bad experiences picking up irresponsible customers who made bad decisions (one went to the ER with alcohol poisoning). So you all up there in Minnesota should work together to change that perception and lower the cost. Take your time. Water is free so drink a lot. Eat some food. Enjoy the beautiful outdoor patio and play some of the yard games. Check out the retail section and merchandise. Order 1/sizes or sampler platters if you want to try different types of beer.
The wait staff were superb. It was very busy on a Saturday night and they were fast, even-tempered and very clean.
- really nice gathering spaces, would be an awesome site for large gatherings.

Love this brewery but it will be closing soon-so get in there and enjoy it before it closes! Great food, Covid precautions in use, fun community spot.

This place is unique. Lots of rows of tables, open seating environment, and some decent brews. I remember having the Coffee stout, and a few other the more darker selections. Others at my table had the lighter brews, but they're in the younger crowd so they can't handle the "hard stuff" like I can. Its a great atmosphere with the fire pit outside, and a good place to bring friends.

If you have never been to Surly Brewing you are missing out. The best beers brewed in The state of Minnesota no doubt about it. The brewery itself is amazing. Really spacious and their food menu has won numerous local awArds. This is not your typical beer food. They have chefs, not cooks. They usually have between 20-25 different beer selections so you won’t go thirsty. Go there. You won’t be disappointed.

The tour was very informative, the person God in the tour was very knowledgeable and friendly. The beer that was provided for sampling was outstanding. If you go stay afterwards and go out on the second floor for pizza it was very good

We stopped in to visit the Surly Brewing Co and had a great time! Our tour with Andrew was informative, interesting and great humor sprinkled in the whole time. The vibe here is such good energy, the pizza FAST and so delicious... and I had the first IPA I ever liked here. WOW - so good! We will be back!! I'm now a fan and so proud to have this gem in our state!!

I encourage you to reach out to First Avenue as they handle the bulk of the the accessibility items for the shows!
