The loon was fun for a quick family selfie. However, there is a playground, picnic tables...and a beach! When we stopped it appeared that several families were enjoying the beach and having a nice gathering.

Like all the other photo op statues. Do it if you are there. Great view of Long Lake, Very large so stand close to show the perspective. Loon's are quite an interesting bird so do some research.

The kids always enjoy the stop to see the giant loon. Easy to see right off the highway next to Loon Lake.

If you are into this sort of thing, stop. Take a quick picture, and perhaps enjoy the beach. If you aren't into big statues, keep driving. You will find this on the north end of Long Lake.

Great display...Absolutely the most fun bird to watch on and in the water.
They put their babies on the mom's back to get used to swimming..

Go loony and make it a photo op! Vergas has the largest loon, Minnesota's state bird. Playground in the park, picnic shelter there too. Pretty views!
