The tour was interesting — especially the viewpoints of a commercial fisherman, w/impacts from the economy and recent hurricanes. I did think there would be a bit more emphasis on how the shrimp were harvested, but it was an enjoyable activity. Treat that a dolphin accompanied us for a bit!

The price was $30 for the trip and it was good fun. The guide tells us all about the shrimping industry in the U.S. and a basic overview of shrimp life cycle off the coast of Mississippi. The guide is funny and informative. They also put out a net to capture some sea life and then give a small lesson on each fish and crab they catch.
They also gave a positive review of some of the best seafood restaurants in Biloxi: namely, Mary Mahoney's Old French House , Half Shell Oyster House, Vestige (pricey!) , and White Pillars (pricey).

Easy to book, easy to find, great price, great tour - can’t recommend enough. Also, the tours are around 70 minutes and go twice a day, so a great option if you haven’t planned your entire time in the area in advance.

We really enjoyed our trip. The Captain was knowledgeable and friendly. He provided a great insight into shrimping on the sound.

Fun, informative shrimp boat trip into the bay, Captain explains shrimping, marine life, history, etc. You take a short trip in the bay on the boat, they drag a net and try to catch something, very fun, kids will defiantly enjoy - boat is older with no bathrooms trip lasted about an 1 1/2 hrs

This was a lot of fun. Leaned about various bay life from the shrimp net. Explained a little of shrimping and each thing caught.

My son and I went twice in the same week. In all we went around 6 times. All times were enjoyable and interesting. Each time I still learned something new. My son is into zoology and he considers it an exploration. The captains of the boat are very knowledgeable with the coast and gulf sea life. They are patient with their guests including children and pets. Every trip has been pleasant and a great experience.

Amazing time was definitely the highlight of our vacation. So glad that we did it was a wonderful experience and learned so much. The captain and crew were down to earth good people couldn’t have asked for a better time. Definitely will do again if we come down that way again.

Hot day out with Captain Mike and his daughter (and cute puppy Sailor). They take your safety seriously as we were cautioned about the heat.
First some education about their new venture in oyster farming. How they breed and the proper conditions. All very interesting!
We then motored out in water to throw out the net! Explanation of how to tie net and then explained how the plates spread the opening. Didn’t catch much on this trip but detailed info on each species. I even got to hold a croaker to shake and hear it ‘croak’. Most interesting was the quill (beak) out of the squid.

Is the shrimp boat handicap accessible? (Someone in a wheelchair?)

The individual would definitely not be able to go to the the top. If it is a small child it could be possible. You might want to call the company to be sure. The lady that answers the phone is quite nice. I am sure she could provide the correct information. The trip is really fun for kids and the price is right. Much success!!!😊

You can sit inside or outside depending on weather. Wear comfortable, tie up, walking shoes and dress in layers depending on weather.

All tours are first come first served please arrive 30 minutes prior to departure and pay cash as you board. Tour times are 10:30 am & 1:30 pm & 3:30 pm daily. The price is $16.00 per person.

The tour only lasts about an hour so the boat goes out 30 minutes, turns around, then back 30 minutes...maybe a little longer. You are traveling between the coast and Deer Island.
It cost us $54 for 2 adults and 2 children. They only accept cash so have it ready when you are boarding the boat. For ages 4 to 11 they charge $11 and 12 and up is $16. Kids 3 and under are free.
