This is a m ost pleasant environment and peaceful and relaxing. There are good walking paths among tjhe trees and around the wetlands that arew balive with birds and close to nature. Fully brecommend a visit.

Recently bought a house in this area. Wow! At the end of the street is the Oaklands Wetlands. What a bonus for the middle of a suburb bordered by a busy road. During the day it is a peaceful park area, with ducks and friendly people, and a wonderful green space. Worth a visit. Kids there are play facilities, also loos, paths, lake, ducks, trees....

It is hard to believe that close to the busiest roads in Adelaide we can find this tranquil place. It is great for people to have a lunch break, a picnic or a stroll and enjoy the bird life. It is a credit to the Marion Council.

Relaxing walk lots of birdlife and shade. A lot of trees and shade. Breeze blows of the water making this a great place for a stroll in summer.

This is a place for young and old. It has lots of bitumen walking / riding paths. There is also a skate park area for those wanting to use their skate boards. Most of the older skateboard riders are tolerant of the younger ones and let then have a go, often encouraging them or cheering them on. There are several free bbq areas which are very popular. There are a few play ground areas within the park. The water birds are a popular attraction.

A fantastic place to take the children. Bring your own barbecue supplies and cook up a storm whilst overseeing the children play. A gorgeous lake adjacent huge playground and bike track. Spend a day here easily. The kids will thank you for it.

Love this place especially since they have done it up. So much wildlife and it is very peaceful and quiet. Lots of places to sit and you can take a picnic or have a bbq. Lots of wildlife - perfect at any time of year

I belong to a walking group and we have been there a few times now. It is well set out and a great place to walk your dog both on and off leash. You do have to share the path with bikes but it is never a problem. There is lots of bird life to see and easy parking. We start our walks in the park but then walk further afield to Darlington then then return to the park. There is also a BMX track BBQ'S and a lake. They have picnic tables and a playground as well as toilets. A great place for a walk or a get together with friends.

The wetlands are nice and there is a good park that has plenty of room for picnics or ball games and a track for children to ride their bikes. There is a playground and toilets. There is plenty of parking and there are bike tracks that run near the park so you can also ride your bike.

Can I take my own gas bbq to the wetlands

Check with Marion Council. I think because they provide BBQs the council may think it eliminates the need to bring your own. I am unsure.
