Nice place to hike

We had about an hour to kill before my daughter was done with her class so we went to hike the Governor Bates Trail at Faust Park. The trail was wide and easy to hike with some hills but noting too bad. We will go back to explore the other things offered at the park.

Beautiful and well kept

Faust Park is a very nice park to walk around, old houses to see and everything is kept up really nice. Kids play area is really nice too and so are the bathrooms. My husband and I really enjoy going here during my lunch time.

Summer Concert Series at Faust Park is a put on your calendar “have to go” event! Great bands are scheduled with great food trucks and local restaurant tents! Plenty of room for bringing your chairs and enjoy a relaxing fun evening eating and enjoying great food!

Short visit to Faust Park

On the spur of the moment and needing something to kill some time, we had a short visit to Faust Park. We didn't visit the Butterfly House, but we took a walk and explored the grounds (with my grandsons aged 8 and 12). They were impressed with the Governors home and the surrounding area. It was very well maintained!

So fantastic and friendly

We have been to Faust many times before, on this day we had a new mission to complete the Faust portion of the St. Louis County Parks Junior Ranger badge. The scavenger hunt/quiz sent us to explore places in the park we never really got around to before. Usually after the Butterfly house, playground and Carousel we are done!

We were so happy to find ample maps and signage. There were even laminated cards with additional info. There is also an audio tour you can download right to your phone.

We were a little lost a couple of times but never had a problem finding a park employee or volunteer working near the historic buildings or beautiful gardens. Almost everyone we asked for directions offered to accompany us to the next destination. They were also incredibly knowledgeable, telling us very interesting historical facts about the homes and plants/trees. Those peach trees are special! So impressed with the helpful people! I would recommend this park to any and everyone who needed a family destination on a budget as well, you can really have fun for only a few bucks but you can also have a blast with a picnic lunch and no cash.

Disappointing!

If you're coming to learn about the buildings in the Historic Village, it's not as great as one would think. I guess they have a brochure, but on the day we went (it was an open house day!), the office and visitor center was CLOSED. Most of the building were locked up tight, some with no sign telling which building it was, and a few with the name of the building, but no description of where they came from or anything about them out front. You could pull the information up on your phone (if you have a data plan) and try to piecemeal your tour together, but it definitely wasn't user friendly.

There are plenty of things to do at the park. Trails, playgrounds, pavilions, carousel, and butterfly house. Make a day of it and enjoy!

The carousel horses are the originals . They are over 100years old. The staff makes the visit fantastic. My grandchildren love to visit whenever they are in the area.

Hidden Gem!

This park not only has the Butterfly House & an antique Carousel, but lovely grounds & super play area! Great for family outings & right in the city of Chesterfield.... in the heart of West County!

Chesterfield hosts concert entertainment in this park in the summers.This park is truly a hidden gem.

Great Place to Take a Family

Lot's of things to do. Really nice play areas for the children. Nice pavilions for group events. Reasonable hiking trails. A go to place in Chesterfield for prom and wedding pictures. It has a little something for everyone.
