A lovely experience at Chateau Lestevine

We had the pleasure of spending an interesting couple of hours at Chateau Lestevine during a recent visit to the Dordogne. Humphrey was out working in the vineyard, however Sue gave up her valuable time to provide the two of us with an extremely interesting tasting of their wonderful wines. An experience not too be missed if you are in the area, make sure you have space to take a few bottles home!

We had a wonderful visit, sharing Sue’s knowledge and experiences of running a vineyard and winery.
We left the children at home and shared our tasting experience with two other couples.
The wines were superb and great value for money ranging from €5 to €9.
Our car boot was full of award winning wine when we left for lunch at the nearby village.

Great wine

We were house hunting in the area and called in for a wine tasting. I emailed to arrange and Sue replied very quickly.
The wine is excellent, we bought a few bottles and have since returned for more. The sparkling white is the best I have ever tasted.

Wine tasting morning with a beautiful view...

We loved our very first wine tasting with Humphrey and Sue. Humphrey was really interesting and quite comical. The wine was delicious too and we bought as much as our luggage allowance allowed! We were joined with another Belgium family which just made it more interesting and special. Stunning views and countryside. Thank you.

Memories to treasure!

Chateau Lestevenie has been our favourite vineyard to visit during our stay in Bergerac.
Sue and Humphrey are fantastic hosts, always make us feel very welcome and always provide us with interesting information about the incredible wines they produce.
We have made sure we have visited Lestevenie for the last three years now, have never been disappointed and have come away with boxes of their reds, whites, rosés, sparkling and dessert wines. All are so unique and have such wonderful flavours.
Nothing can beat sitting overlooking their picturesque vineyard whilst sipping their fine wines - memories we will always treasure!

Spent a wonderful couple of hours
sampling the delicious Chateau Lestevenie wines in this delightful setting. Humphrey was an excellent host - very informative, knowledgeable and entertaining. The wines are very reasonably priced. Highly recommended 😊.

Beautiful location for wine tasting

We visited this vineyard with Alex from ‘Bergerac Wine Tours’ and spent a very agreeable morning tasting a variety of wines after a brief walk through the vineyard. The owners (Sue and Humphrey) are from Somerset and it was interesting to hear about how they set up the vineyard and the production process. We bought a few boxes of wine to take home with us, being particularly fond of their medium body red and the sparkling wine.

Relaxing tour of vineyards at Lestevenie

We enjoyed a relaxing and informal tour of the vineyards at Lestevenie this morning. Sue and Humphrey are wonderful, and informative, hosts, they made us very welcome, and the surroundings made for a lovely wine tasting excursion. I would recommend this vineyard. Many thanks.

We met some very nice and passionate people that love their passion and 'job'...
Great explanition of the wines, small tour in the vineyard and possiblilt to buy some excellent wines...
They take their time, not is rushed, relax and what else do you need on your holliday?

Fantastic visit

Having visited Chateau Lestevenie with Alex and the Bergerac Wine Tour (highly recommended) I returned with five friends for a very enjoyable afternoon. Tom is so knowledgeable and it was fascinating listening to his facts and figures regarding the Bergerac vineyards, grape varieties and all the hard work that goes into producing the delicious Lestevenie wines. The tasting session was a relaxed couple of hours in the shade of a beautiful tree with amazing views across the vineyards and valley below.....and we came away with a good selection of the wines.
Many thanks to everyone at Lestevenie. Tom is definitely a great asset!
