We don't usually go to this theatre because I've never been terribly impressed with it. We almost always choose B & B Wentzville, because it is SO much better, and they have a bar. Today we wanted to see the new Top Gun movie, and we decided to give Mid Rivers a try because we wanted to check out the recent renovations, which included bar service - supposedly.
We went to a 3:45 show, and the bar was closed. My husband noticed that cocktails were advertised on the menu above the concession stand, so we tried to order drinks there but were told they don't serve them. Then why in the heck is it on the menu?!
We asked an usher when the bar area would be open, and we were told 4:00, so we went and found our seats and came back out at a few minutes past 4:00. Still not open. Not all theaters serve alcohol, which is fine, but they really shouldn't advertise it if they don't actually serve it. And the adult beverages should not be included in the concession stand menu if they don't actually serve them at the concession stand. We should have stuck with B & B.
We aren't likely to be back.

My wife and I have been attending shows at this location on a regulr basis for over a year now and the theater continues to get worse. This past visit the floor was sticky from a soda spill and was left overnight, it was the first movie time of the day.The concession area has debris on the counter top and the floors in general were not swept. The wait to get concessions was long I finally left and went to my seat. Three employees were on duty one ticket sales, one concession worker and one very rude and unhelpful manager . The magical movie rewards, keep track everytime you go to the movies because your points magically disappear. Very un happy movie goer and now looking for a new cleaner and theater.

We usually go to St. Charles 18 but the movie we wanted to see was sold out so we looked at other options.
Figured all Marcus theaters would be comparable so we tried out here and what a mistake ...Understaffed and dirty, dark halls and creepy. We were at Screen 3 and were sitting on the far right (when looking at the screen) and our seats were looking directly at the wall ...We had to turn our heads far to the left to look at the screen.
Surround sound wasn't on, only the speakers in the front were working so we couldn't hear anything. Old fashion scratchy/itchy folding seats (no recline, no heating, not comfortable). The floor was sticky like you were in the theaters in the 90s. We left 5 minutes into the movie and demanded a refund. Absolutely ome of the worst theaters in the area. Will never go back.

We went to this theatre since they were no longer showing Moana at the other locations and we went on $5 Tuesdays, where they're supposed to give away free popcorn per admission - which is clearly says on all the $5 posters and the website: *Additional charge 3D. Not valid for Special Events. Limited time only. Excludes Value Cinemas. One free popcorn per admission.
But the girl at the concession said it was just per Member card. Not... she said she'd have to get the manager and I didn't want to bother when we had all this free stuff from my membership already. But she was rude about it and acted like we were putting her off.
They don't have an easy way to pick up your tickets if you order online, so you still have to wait in line and present the credit card for them to still swipe, even though you already paid it online. So much more convenient at St. Charles location. Plus, they aren't the nicest of people. It's a small, old theatre, granted, there are 14 cinemas, but they're cramped and old.
I'll only go here to see the shows I can't see at Chesterfield or St. Charles.
