Great place to get info on the town as well as a few souvenirs if your so inclined. The person working here during my visit was very friendly and knowledgeable. Tons of info on Route 66 and a few maps available here. Lots of parking nearby and make sure to see the mural on the west side of the building. Has all the town's key points on it.

Very nice but small welcome center in downtown Springfield. If you are traveling Route 66, it is very easy to stop in. We were traveling I44 and it took 20 minutes to drive downtown then 20 minutes back to the interstate. The information they have is only for Missouri and most can be obtained easily online. The staff was very courteous and parking was easy.

Staff was very friendly and helpful regarding route 66 in Springfield, Mo. area. There are some really interesting picture opts. and gift items.

If you are looking for travel info on Route 66 or Missouri, it might be worth the stop. If you aren’t, you might as well just keep on going since there isn’t really anything to see.

if you need to find out any information this is the place to go. the only down fall is there is really no place to park except the paid parking

Very disappointed. Closed. You can still walk around but cannot go inside anything. Check before you go. We did check before we left, but then they closed it before we got there.

Thought that we would stop and get some local information on the local Route 66 areas, which we received, staff was okay. I was really surprised that the bathrooms were closed at a Welcome Center, have to park across the street. It was okay but just did not seem to welcoming, but did get some good information

Hello! There is not an entry fee to visit the Route 66 Visitor Center. We are open Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m to 5 p.m.

No price to visit. They are just a visitor center where you can gather more info on the motherroad and attractions to visit in Springfield. Very helpful volunteers!
