We have a family pass and will continue to purchase them. We bring our grandkids who love seeing the residents (animals) here. The staff go above and beyond to make our trips wonderful.

Super friendly staff and amazing variety of animals. My daughter was in love with this place. Definitely will make more trips.

Living near St. Louis, we usually visit the Zoo, Grant's Farm, or Purina Farms for our animal fix. We found Critter Lane a nice change of pace. You'll get to view and feed lots of animals and, in the barn, hold several critters, as well.
Admission is very reasonable, with small additional charges for cups of feed and animal rides.
There are a few small buildings housing critters and several large outdoor enclosures. There are also a few picnic tables, a bouncy house, and a small playground. Critter Lane is very rural so be sure to bring snacks/lunch, water, and anything else you might need.
Check their website for closures and other pertinent information!

Went here on a field trip and was highly disappointed. The animals are not well taken care of. They were VERY hungry like they hadn't eaten in days and some of the enclosures were downright disgusting. It broke my heart walking around there. The "playground" is dirty and unsafe. The seesaw had a broken part - leaving sharp pieces of wood exposed. The metal tractor had sharp pieces of metal sticking up everywhere - one boy actually cut his finer. It was tetanus waiting to happen. We paid a head of time per child for the field trip, but then when we got there, were expected to pay extra everything else - bird feeding sticks, tractor ride, the questionable swing ride. What about the kiddos that didn't have parents there? That should have been included in the fee we already paid or don't offer the extras. I will not be back and plan on contacting someone regarding the living conditions of those poor animals.

This place is the best for little kids. Very reasonably priced to get in, the animals are all great with the kids. The rides are great for kids that are preschool age and the staff is very friendly.

The staff is super friendly and informative and my 2 year old loves it here! Such a great place to come to just to get out of the house with her for a little bit, and only $6 plus $3 for a good size cup of food is really reasonable considering how many animals they have that she gets to see. She has fun every time we go. I love coming just as much as she does.

This place is a "hidden gem". I live in the area, but I didn't know about this zoo until last week. It's only 3 or 4 miles off U.S. 67, so it is easy to reach. Call and get directions, and you will be just fine.
The interactions with the animals are fun and educational. The critters are very friendly. If you want, you can let the animals eat out of your hand. If you are hesitant to do that, don't worry; you can enjoy watching the animals eat out of your neighbor's hand. Take the time to stroll the trail marked "the long way"; it's not long since you can see the whole loop.
Our favorite animals were the parakeets, the iguana, the camels, the kangaroos, the rheas, and many more. We particularly enjoyed the okapi (part horse, part giraffe, part zebra).

you get to feed, see, and or pet such a variety of critters! Great fun. You buy a cup of feed and make your way around the park. They are in large fenced enclosures not cages. If you take feed into the goat area be prepared to be very popular! They have a bouncy house, swings, and you can ride a donkey or a camel.

My kids love to come here! Although this is the second time we've been here, the amenities still needs improvement. But kids just love the idea of them petting the animals. More variety / choices in choices would need to be upgraded. Summer is the best time to come over and see the animals.
