This was great for me to take my time and enjoy each exhibit. But I imitative it weeks be very good for families, especially if you're homeschooling.

Tremendous treasure trove! Could easily spend a full day here. Much of what is displayed you would expect to see in a major museum. Everything clearly explained and layout of museum well thought out. Not to be missed!!!!!

We have been to many museums and this one was very well organized, clean, and set up beautifully. People were very kind and gracious.

I've been in Nebraska my whole life and had never heard of this museum! Because of our schedule, we were only able to stay a few hours but one needs LOTS of time to get through and appreciate all of it. I can't even guess how much more time we'd need. Exhibits are set up in a way that you WANT to read and learn all about it. Our intent is to return when we can get a motel room , look through more of it then possibly finish the next day (older knees would appreciate the break!!)
The extent and detail of the exhibits is breathtaking! We've been to a lot of museums and this one surpasses every single one in regard to placement, interest, cleanliness and accuracy.

This is a huge museum full of all kinds of history about Nebraska. We spent 3 hours looking through it. In addition to the regular exhibits, there was a section about the World War II German POW camp that existed near the area. It was very informative.

We saw the museum as we were driving through the area and decided to stop. They are still recovering from a summer flood but they have a wide variety of displays. If you love history you will find something you’ll like!

A well organized and presented display of Indian artifacts, fossles, pioneer home and farm furnishings, and a very interesting history of the WW II prisoner of war camp and its daily life.

We initially went to the Museum to learn about the POW camp in the area. It detailed daily life in camp and in the surrounding area.

All I can say is wow. We took a break from our travels and stopped here when we saw it alongside the road. We thought we might spend an hour here, but once we entered, we were there for 2 1/2, and didn't have any longer to spend on the outside buildings. A small $5 suggested donation is more than worth it for this museum that is FULL of something for everyone. Each and every piece in here was donated by someone from the area, making it a true community gem that they should be proud of. My favorite part was the street scenes. There was a dentist office, post office, etc., all decorated with items that originated in those businesses "back in the day". The heritage and culture of the area is showcased in other areas. There are two levels to check out. Another area in the museum describes a POW camp that was in the area and includes items from both those who worked there and prisoners held there, some of whom returned to the area after the war. If you have the time, make sure to make this a stop.

We walked into this museum and didn't leave for four hours! What a wonderful facility, filled with so much historical information it boggles the mind. There is something for everyone here, including a model train set that will run with the flip of a switch. Kudos to those who work there and to those who have supported with museum with their donations of items. I highly recommend visiting.
