Nice selection of jewelry. Bought several pieces that were affordable & tasteful, so far have held up well. Better than the other shops I browsed in town. Better quality. The owner was extremely nice and helpful.

This establishment is a breath of fresh air in what has become a rather pedestrian collection of junky, made in China gift stores and tired old antique shops. The proprietor is very low key and knowledgeable. A nice collection of genuine Native American pottery and jewel is attractively displayed. Worth a visit.

My dad and I wandered into this store, drawn in by the jewelry in the front window. We found so many beautiful things that I knew I was walking out of there with something! My dad found a necklace for my mom, and had me take a picture and send to her to see if she liked it. She loved it, but also loved the earrings and bracelets that were behind the necklace in the picture. I ended up taking picture after picture of pieces throughout the store, and the gentleman who was there was so patient and kind to pull out pieces and let me photograph them to send to my mom.
After 45 minutes, she finally made her selections, and he cleaned them and packed them up for us. He was so nice, he even said if there was anything she didn't want once she saw it, to just send it back to him (she lives far away from Virginia City) and he would refund our money. I thought that was really nice. I would definitely go back there and recommend everyone to stop by when you are in Virginia City, or even make a special trip for the jewelry.

We talked in length with John Peasley, the proprietor of the store. He was extremely helpful and a store house of knowledge about native American jewelry and semi precious stones. I brought my wife a bracelet and matching earrings. The stones were white buffalo in a sterling silver setting. He then spent a good 30 minutes re-sizing the bracelet and buffing it until it fit perfectly. I would go there again and again if I lived in NV and not Chicago IL

We first found this wonderful shop on a recent trip to Virginia City. We had been traveling from Phoenix through AZ and NV on our way to Oregon. All along the way we had been searching for some pieces to remember the great adventure. Had seen lots of Turquoise and been told many stories about the different colors and types of it. not all true I suspect. We started to walk past yet another shop with this kind of jewelry when i spotted the Larimar in the window. So different and beautiful. So in we went. So very happy we did. We were so impressed with the quality and variety of the pieces and even more delighted with the owners' knowledge of each and every one and their pieces and artisans. I purchased a beautiful Larimar ring and my roommate a lovely White Turquoise pendant.
Fast forward to now. I had sent email to the shop asking about a pendant to go with my Larimar ring. After many pics and messages i chose the perfect compliment to my ring.
I recommend this shop highly. Although you will not find inexpensive pieces here what you will find is authentic beautiful pieces made with utmost care and artistry with the best stones at the perfect price point and owners with unparalleled knowledge of their stock and artists as well as a willingness to communicate back and forth so one can find the right compliment to something already purchased.
We are clients for life!!

I could have spent a whole lot of money here. They have such beautiful things. Unfortunately, I limited myself to an Ervin Hoski cuff bracelet. It has green stones with silver and is so pretty. I wear it all the time. My sister-in-law bought a watch with opal stones. Also very pretty. The owner sized both pieces for us right away, and we wore them out the door. I would highly recommend this store if you want some quality gifts.

Upon a recent trip to Reno we decided to rent a car and visit Virginia City, We lucked upon the St. Patrick's Day parade and this fabulous shop! The jewelry was gorgeous, prices excellent and service superb! I had been in Mew Mexico a couple of months earlier and was shocked by the high prices. Needless to say, I was equally shocked on how reasonable they were at the Thunder Eagle. All three of us bought jewelry and could not be happier about our purchases. I highly recommend a visit to the Thunder Eagle when visiting Virginia City, you will be happy you did!
