I love this store and so did my 4 grandchildren! The especially loved The Famous Diane the Turtle! There is something for everyone here and great prices too. The owners are so accommodating and personable! We will make it an annual stop when we vacation up that way.

A very nice souvenir-type gift shop (would have five stars if they also carried more locally made items). Gifts are very nice and prices are reasonable. Lots of stuff - toys, housewares, post cards etc. I had to ask about Diane the Turtle since obviously much in the shop was dedicated to her. I was very interested because I remember those little turtles Woolworth's used to sell and it's really nice to know that one is still kicking. Of course she's in a small room and due to the current rules and regs she couldn't have visitors... the owners said she misses people because she's "a ham" - not the usual description for a turtle. I'd like to return when I can actually meet this hard-shelled celebrity.
When I got home I discovered that the shop had included what I will call a "special edition" magnet in the bag, referencing COVID-19 Cooperation and thanking their customers. A nice touch.

There are a lot of interesting places to visit in the Lakes Region, but Bristol is home to one VERY special place. This unassuming shop, in the middle of Central Square, has lots of wonderful (and one-of-a-kind) items to browse. The Tonner brothers have hand selected many items you won't find elsewhere. There really IS "something for everyone." And you won't be able to resist meeting Diane the turtle who till turn 50 on December 1st, 2018. The store is child friendly and the brothers are happy to share stories, many of which they've incorporated into their books. A good time is guaranteed no matter the season.
