There are deep woods, much water, and mid to late July, many flowers in bloom including pond lilies. Lovely smattering of cardinal flowers, deep red, along the waterways.
The main north/south trail is wide, light canopy overhead, completely clear overhead in much of it - good for young kids. West tangents off the north/west trail are at places narrow, steep and riddled with tree roots, with a thick overhead canopy.
