So when I got there I completed the main courses with a staff's instructions. My family did it too. Now the option to the Black Course was a hard pass to my family so they just watched me. Now when I got on, the beginning was easy. Until the tricky parts came in. I knew I needed help and I felt like I was gonna fall. Now the staff lady running the black course was like okay I will come help you and guide you through the rest of the course. After the tricky parts, it was quite easy and I want to thank the staff member for teaching me the Black Course and hopefully I can see her again next time I go. I had so much fun!

Excellent time. There are different obstacles and difficulties so that everyone is able to enjoy. This is not just for kids, but they would certainly enjoy as well.

Excellent job of preparing the girls with their helmets and harnesses. Provided a clear and understandable procedure to be followed on the ropes and ziplines. Walked them through a practice area prior to allowing them to proceed independently on the ropes and zipline courses. The staff remained on duty, but not involved in the ropes course navigation or strategy unless requested. an excellent opportunity for my grand daughters to utilize their skills, both mental and physical, along with establishing a sense of teamwork necessary for success. Time well spent!

We had a great time with the kids! The staff were super attentive, knowledgeable and present from the moment we arrived. We got a great introduction to the safety features and how to work the equipment on the introductory course. It is easy to use and understand and the staff is readily available to help, support, and answer questions, The whole adventure is set up to move you gently through the easier courses so you can gain confidence and skill as you progress. I started off thinking I wouldn't make it much beyond the introductory and beginner course but quickly made it to the highest points on the main tower. The courses are challenging and fun. I definitely feel a little soreness in my muscles the day after, in a good way! I regret not attempting the black (most challenging course) but will be back to try it another day. The zip lines are what make the work most worth it. They are so fun! Zipping through the trees. It is beautiful and peaceful and super fun! Highly recommend it as a great bonding experience and a lot of healthy fun! I think fun is the key word here!

My first time doing anything like this and the staff were so helpful, teaching the basics and keeping everyone moving. My niece and I didn’t make it past the beginner course, but it was a great time, excellent safety procedures, and always a staff member or two on the course to provide assistance. Will definitely be back!

It was a great adventure, challenging and exciting at the same time. 10 years old kids enjoyed it as well. They could do a middle level and zip line to the ground. It was petty physucal for adults as well, and we could feel all our muscles working to complete each challenge. Very safe equipment and helpful staff. Highly recommend !

We visited Monkey Trunks Chocorua on 8/8/19. Our group ranged in age from 11 to 72 (me, my two kids and my aunt), and we all loved Monkey Trunks! It started with an employee teaching us how to use the course, how to be safe, and how the equipment works. She guided us through low-level practice obstacles and taught us all of the rules. I was especially glad that to find out that the hooks that hold you onto the wires have a safety feature that doesn't allow you to completely unhook yourself: one hook has to be closed in order for the other hook to be opened. I had been worried about my 11 year old, who isn't the best at paying attention, but these safety clips let me stop worrying.
The course includes obstacles like stepping from one swinging piece of wood to another, climbing across a net, and walking across a log, so even though we are a pretty active family, it was a workout (a really FUN one!). You have to wear close-toed shoes, and I almost forgot to bring my sneakers. They won't let you on the course with open-toed shoes, even if they are sandals like Keens that cover your whole foot. This rules really makes sense, because there are lots of spots where you could get a toe caught, even through Keens.
My kids and I completed all of the levels, and they allowed us to go back through the black level (hardest one) a second time. We were too tired to ask for a third trip through, but I got the impression that they wouldn't have minded. My aunt is very active for her age, and she did everything except for the hardest level. She said that the most difficult part of the obstacles was the stress on her knees when going on and off of platforms. I don't think that many people her age would enjoy this course, unless they are already very active. I think that moderately active people in their 30s and 40s could do most of this.
The ziplines were the best part of the course - it felt amazing to be sailing through the forest!! You have to go through obstacles to get to the ziplines; you can't just go to the park for the ziplines.
The staff was very attentive. They are posted at different points inside the obstacle course, and they give advice on how to do it, or they can help you find an easier route if you are struggling. A summer camp was visiting at the same time as we were, and when one kid was disobeying a safety rule (I didn't see what it was), an employee went running into the woods to intercept the kid and take him out of the course immediately.
All of us would go back, despite the $49 per person cost. The park is so safe, and so well staffed, and I'm sure they have liability insurance to pay, so the ticket price makes sense.

We went to monkey trunks with 5 kids (7,9,11,12, and 14) and 2 adults. It starts off easy and gets progressively harder as you go. The kids got stuck a lot on the zip lines and a lot of the obstacles they had a hard time reaching the platform without assistance. All but the 9 year old went onto the extreme course. They all had a lot of fun except the staff were all very rude and non welcoming except for this one guide who really helped my youngest along the end. His name was Kyle and he made the experience easier and made the 4th star on my rating. He offered his help to my 7 year old the entire way of the extreme course, which was the only way she would continue. So thank you so much to Kyle! We will probably go back in the future.
