We camp here often, and have camped here several times last summer and fall, planning on returning again this year.
The campsites are cleaned daily, in the mornings you can hear the staff driving from site to site in their buggies, or you will run into them as they clean the bathrooms each morning.
The staff are very friendly and helpful, one of them even brought wood to our site for us.
The park has bathroom buildings within walking distance of each camp site, with only one of them that seems to be fully shut down for maintenance.
There are heated showers in a shower building, thought when ever we have gone, the people using the showers leave trash everywhere and hair in the sinks and drains, I feel bad for the staff who have to deal with that, and the trash left at sites. THERE ARE DUMPSTERS but it seems people do not use them.
Nor do people respect the rules of the site, lighting fireworks, or being loud all night long and heavily drinking and stumbling into other sites..
A gentleman from the security crew had to come by several times to quiet the side across from ours down, and all they did from then on was break bottles in the fire pit and laugh. Parents don't control their children and we woke up to kids stealing our wood, when we told them "that's not your wood" they laughed and said "WE KNOW" and ran up the road.
It seems like it's a great place, but the sites are far too close together to make it enjoyable, and the people who camp there are often times loud and trash the place.
Every morning the staff cleaned the bathroom facilities, but within hours they were trashed again, they started coming back in the evenings around 3pm to clean again, but it seemed to be in vein as yet again hours later the once spotless bathrooms were full of wet paper towel and toilet paper wads thrown on ceilings from untamed children, or people would flush babywipes and the containers they come in plugging the toilets or changing their babies in the bathrooms and leaving the diapers in the sinks...
There are bugs here and there but it's a camp site in the woods, and sometimes the insects are inside the bathrooms, there were some girls coming out of bathroom and literally said "I won't camp here again there are bugs in the sinks!"
I scratched my head thinking "the bathrooms are in the forest, bugs happen..."
People that camp there are very inconsiderate and some were burning their plastic trash when we last camped there causing it to smell like burnt plastic on the entire road we were on.
Rude campers and loud drunks make this place kind of not good most of the time, but if you get a camp site well away from those kind of people, it can be very pleasant.
They have a swimming lake, unfortunately has milfoil (an invasive species of plant that plagues many camps I have visited, and can not be cleared from the lakes.) This makes the water a little oily but on SEVERAL occasions I had been down at the beach early and they had some friendly young men cleaning the beach of it, so we could have a clean sandy beach to enjoy, though it is an act of futility, since I know how milfoil works, those poor kids will be there every few days for the rest of their lives cleaning that.
Budget cuts to natural resources from the last presidency seem to have heavily effected the park, but things like toilet paper and paper towels always seem to be in stock, only once did I run into a situation where I almost ran out of paper in a bathroom there.
The store is nice down by the beach, and the camp store where you get wood is super clean and the staff seem very nice, never had a problem with anything there aside from some of the prices being a bit steep.
This is the kind of camp that you bring the kids for a weekend, or if you own an RV and are in the area passing through and need a place for the weekend. They have canoe and kayak rentals, and MANY picnic areas by the beach, though some times it can be LOUD and crowded at the beaches (there are two that I found)
And this can be annoying, there were a few occasions where people were playing obscene music loudly, and were told by park staff to stop, ... but they continued as soon as staff left, there were some people who were having a wedding or some kind of party there, and took up the entire beach area, but those seemed like once in a while things, since all of the times we've been there that's only happened a couple times.
There are trails, that seem well maintained, though people throw trash everywhere and it seems to take a while before it is cleaned up.
There are plumbing problems since the place runs on septic tank based bathroom houses, and people like to stuff things in toilets it seems (I have opened the bathroom door to over flowed toilets with diapers in them and baby wipes a few times while camping here) I don't get people.
People aside, the park staff are very nice, and very helpful, and the facilities seem super clean for what they are being in the woods and abused since I can only assume the 70s.
Tiles are missing, I asked a park staff member if they would ever fix the tiles, he replied "we are working on that slowly, but there is very little budget for the park" and I was saddened to hear this.
There also used to be recycling, but sadly that is gone now too, only dumpsters.
I feel like if this place had more funding, and less destructive/loud/drunk "campers" then it would be one of the most wonderful parks in New Hampshire.
But for what it is, it's great.

I have been camping in Greenfield since 1975 and it is so sad to see its decay. Once the only place I wanted to go. I grew up going there and I was always so happy to take my kids as they grew up. Unfortunately something changed about 10 or 12 years ago and the experience gets worse with each trip. Bathrooms are tired, dirty and often out of order. The beach needs some love. The roads are in tough shape. What was once to best place to camp is now a sad reflection of so many good memories. Is it funding? Is it management? Is it the staff? I hope it gets figured out because I had hoped to take my grand children there some day.

My husband and I camped here on our way north. The area itself it nice, each of the sites are really good size and pretty private which was very nice. After 10 it quieted down and stayed quiet for the night. But...the restrooms and showers were very dirty. In the restrooms closest to our camp the women's had 1 out of 4 stalls out of order and the men's had 2 out of 3 out of order. In the morning we went to the showers and again 1 out of 4 were out of order and the men's also had ones out of order. The worst part is it was extremely dirty; stalls, showers and the sink. I found several dead bugs and when I was getting ready to leave there was a VERY large cockroach by the shower stalls. I don't normally leave reviews but there is no need for the facilities to be this dirty and will be very careful to read reviews before I choose to stay in a NH state park again.

4 days of camping with family. Who ever manages the camp ground should be fired no such thing as maintenance or cleaning done to any of the facilities with I. The campground bathrooms are in bad shape toilets broken sinks broken trash every where no toilet paper showers are disgusting for 4 days had the same trash and piles of hair in them no water pressure and manager does nothing. Campsites are not maintained or cleaned grass is knee deep fire pit full of trash. I have never been to a state park that wasn't taken care of like this. Will be contacting senator to report laziness of management and staff

I wish I could write a better review, but I really can't. I've been coming to this park since it opened - first with my parents, then with my own children, and recently with my children and grandchildren. Over the past few years, the park has fallen into disrepair. Even the faucets for the water don't work well and all they need are washers. We camped over the Memorial Day weekend and the pump for the well broke. There were no flush toilets the entire weekend; the port-a-johns were brought in, but not nearly enough of them. It was gross. The roads need repaving; the beach needs to be raked out; and something needs to be done about the ticks. The place is infested with them. I have some really good memories of camping in this park, and I wish the state of New Hampshire would put some money into improving the park.

The thing that stood out the most was the number of staff that were around. I was surprised, having thought that tighter state and federal budgets have cut into staffing in parks. Everyone was very friendly also. The showers were relatively clean, it's a campsite after all. Our site was fine, no trash, close to a spigot.

We came for a few nights in mid May. Not many people here. Maybe it’s too early in the season to do maintenance, but we found trash all around our site and the water spigots are rusted and broken. Not even sure if the water is potable. It’s so NH though — no tax base and no funds to maintain state infrastructure. I will not come here again.

Oh, and the bathrooms? Not so good.

The Fall colors were late but we were blessed to see them in this park before we flew back home. It was by chance that we drove by and saw the sign leading to the park. The park was empty as the weather does not look good. It actually started to drizzle before we drove back to the main road.

My grandkids love to camp here, and invited me over for dinner. The campsites are wooded, with water and bathrooms nearby. The blueberries were ripening and we found lots of blackberries, too, on our walk down to the water, which made for great pancakes the next morning. The finding of frogs is a favorite pastime while at the Park.

This is a great place to go camping and I would recommend it to everyone and anyone. I went up here in the middle of August to camp the old fashion way (with a tent), and I could not have had a better experience here. I have been camping before, but a lot of places I have been have had the campsites very close together. Greenfield State Park had very spacious spots, with trees in between to make each spot seem a little private and secluded. The first night there it poured out, but we set up a canopy tent and sat underneath with some cocktails and the grill and had an awesome time. The next day was beautiful and we were able to enjoy having a fire and hanging out. The campground was well kept, aside from the giant potholes in the road. The bathrooms were very clean, and that was appreciated. The check-in process was so simple and only took a minute to do, and the campsite in general was easy to find and cheap to stay at! We already said that we will be coming back next year, and we are really looking forward to it.
