Old New England Charm and family oriented ski area. No lift lines and the restaurant/pub is great. Management and staff are friendly and helpful.

Stopped by Black Mountain Stables today, very friendly people. Jessie was able to help us and arranged for pony rides for our grandsons. They loved it. Highly recommend if your in the area. They also have trail rides for older folk.

Great experience with the horseback riding! Guide and staff were great, and horses were easy to work with; I had no problems as a first time rider. You ride up along the ski mountain runs and the area and views are beautiful. Prices are also very fair. Would recommend this to anyone.

After traveling all over the Jackson area, this trail was the least active. Half dozen people on the trail. No problem distancing yourself here.

Lovely traditional small new england ski area. Narrow tree lined trails are beautiful. There are some great steeps on the west side of the mountain for more advanced skiers. Prices are great and the Lostbo bar is a fun place

Great variety of well groomed trails, very friendly staff. Fun mid station bar/snack shack half way up the mountain. Great for families with the deck overlooking the learning area and horses that live there.

This is such a cool mountain. Its unique. No big lift lines. Friendly staff, warm and welcoming lodge. I cant say enough good things about this place. Even the snow quality is really good. The only thing that made me not go last time is that they werent honoring Local Resident Sunday deals on holiday weekends and i would have had to pay double. Last year they had penned horses at the bottom of the slope so you could ski up to them and pet them, it was really cool.

We visited the Black Mountain for the horse riding trail, 1 hour for $60 each.
My husband had never ridden before but the staff and horses are so friendly it’s a pleasure and great way to start. He rode Star and I rode Sparky, both were gorgeous. The view is spectacular in the Autumn sunshine, so much colour. Would definitely recommend.

If you want to spend your day skiing, this is the place to go. If you want to stand in line all day and talk about your skis ... go somewhere else.
