Haunted History Tour

We had a fantastic time at the Haunted history tour. If you haven’t been to Bordentown there’s a ton of history packed into a square mile. And any town that old has to have a few ghost stories! We had a great story teller that brought the history and legends to life. Highly recommend if you’re in the area.

Great ghost tour

Bordentown Walking Tour....Exccellent!

Joshua led a great tour. He is full of information, has good stories, and is funny. There is a little something for everyone in his presentation - facts about the Civil War, Revolutionary War, Clara Barton, Indigenous people, Thomas Paine and more! We highly recommend this activity!

Treasure Hunt tour

Mark arranged a private Treasure Hunt walking tour for 2 moms and 4 kids on a summer afternoon. We all had a great time learning more about Bordentown’s history, as well as the fun treasure collected at each stop. The children loved telling friends and family members about their adventure. I would highly recommend reaching out to Mark to coordinate a tour.

We did the Haunted History tour in Bordentown last night and it was so cool!!! Can’t wait to do the Mount Holly one in October! Tour guides were extremely knowledgeable and entertaining :)

Excellent Historical Walking Tour!

My friend and I went on the one-hour guided historical walking tour of pre-Civil War landmarks and homes in historic Bordentown, NJ. Mark, a history teacher, is the perfect guide. He's so knowledgeable and made history come alive! I want to learn even more about the town's history. I highly recommend the tour!

A Pleasant and Informative Way to Spend an Afternoon

My family joined Mark for a deeply researched and informative tour through a beautiful and historic section of Bordentown City. Mark has a deep knowledge of the area's history. He does a great job at making the information accessible and lively. Bordentown itself is rich with history, including native Tom Paine, diverse Revolutionary War history, magnificent architecture, Joseph Bonaparte's home in exile, Clara Barton, and much more. It's a great way to spend an afternoon.

Bordentown Lights & Architecture

Our group took a private tour for the Bordentown Lights & Architecture Tour. Mark was extremely accommodating to our group, including needing to reschedule due to bad weather. Mark was so knowledgeable and obviously enjoys showing off his town. We enjoyed the tour and would love to do another tour in the future.

Holiday Lights & Architectural Tour was GREAT!

I stumbled upon Bordentown Walking Tours quite by accident and I’m so glad I did! My partner and I and my sister booked the tour on a Sunday night at 5pm. We were delighted to learn interesting historical facts about Bordentown, while enjoying varied architectural styles seen through the town, illuminated by beautiful Christmas lights along the way!

It was nice that the houses along the tour engaged in some friendly neighborhood competition, each trying to ‘out-do’ the next, all in good fun.

Mark paced the tour well and was considerate of the varied ages & walking abilities in the tour group. I was impressed with the inclusivity of the tour, honoring the various faiths in the community, all of which observe holidays during this very special time of year.

I was so enthralled I only took two photos, a testament to how much the tour held my interest; I forgot all about the phone in my pocket!

I’m looking forward to another future tour, maybe in the Spring. Highly recommended!!
