Would rate 6 stars if I could! Bikes, locks and helmets were all in great shape. Amazing customer service-there was a minor issue with the dates.. Nancy was available (on a weekend!) and fixed everything right away!

I took a train in from North Jersey (Newark) to the Jersey Shore Bay Head train station. I wanted to ride a bike down to Seaside Heights from there. (Yes, there is a bike lane all the way down, and the car traffic is pretty bad on Route 35 during the summer.) Gene from Ready to Roll was there on time to meet me as I got off the train. He was courteous, professional, and honest. It took me about one hour to get down to Seaside on the bike. (And it was a great ride!) From there, I locked the bike up and called Nancy, who was also very nice and accommodating. It was like talking to a family member. Gene later came to pick up the bike after I got on the Ocean Ride bus to Toms River. From my research, Ready to Roll is the only bike rental service in the area (for a solitary rider) that will drop off a bike where you ask to meet them and also pick up the bike when you are done. That was important to me for my travel plan. The only negative is that there is no hourly rental price or half-day price. This would have suited my purposes better as I was only using the bike for about an hour, and the one-day rental price is $25. (A-1 Rentals has a half-day price, but they do not deliver the bike to you or pick it up.) Overall, Ready to Roll is a great option for those who want to rent a bike for a day or more and like the convenience of having the bike delivered to you and picked up from you. Ready to Roll might consider an hourly or half-day rate to bring in more customers. Nonetheless, they provide a great service to local beach goers. Thank you Gene and Nancy!

Rented a few bikes to tour the Brick shore area. Always easier then finding parking at this time of year. The owners were a joy to meet and all bikes were well cared for and clean.
