I don't mind paying extra for good quality. The fruits and vegetable are nice. But, that doesn't mean the employees should have "farm animal" manners. I've met the unprofessional Store Manager. I'm guessing she's "family". But then, you wouldn't know, her name is not posted in the Store and when she interacts with patrons, she doesn't know how to introduce herself. It's easier to mistreat people, when they don't know your name. And, your employees pick up on your attitude.

Some people do go to Delicious Orchards for their full grocery shopping, and yes… it’s pricey. BUT most people go for the donuts (and other baked goods), the cider and the amazing produce section. They also have an excellent butcher, cheese and coffee area along with normal staples. Every time I’m visiting NJ, I have to swing by DO for some of that cider and those donuts - it’s worth the trip!

I understand they are busy this time of year, but that is no reason to pick up the phone and hang up. It happened 3 times. This was very disappointing, I was a very good customer of theirs.

I loved this place! An outrageous amount of fruits and vegetables to choose from. Many of which, I had never seen before. Large selection of salsas, oils, hot sauces, dressings, pastas, nuts, etc. I bought a mini peach pie because I didn't want a whole one. The mini was $5 and the full pie was $15. $5 seems high for such a tiny pie but it was delicious.

We visited the orchards on an afternoon and were surprised at the variety of fresh fruits and vegetables that were available. They offer many from other countries and other farms, though not so much from their own. They also have a variety of many cheeses from other countries. They do offer a variety of fresh breads and baked goods ( cookies, pies, doughnuts). The pies were tremendously disappointing (that's why we came). While there was not a great deal of berries in the pie, there was a great deal of pectin! The pie was like eating glue with a few berries. The crust wasn't all that flaky. I tried the chocolates and they were just okay. The plants outside for sale were a bit pricy. I would go back for the fresh fruits and vegetables. Fresh coffee and whole bean is available for purchase as well.

While we no longer live in NJ, we visit NJ (usually Monmouth County) at least once a year, and usually make a trip to Delicious Orchards. When we lived in NJ we were frequent shoppers at the orchard - and frankly loved it.
That's why this review pains us a bit - we love the place, as do family and friends from NJ. But this time it was mediocre at best. I am not sure if there are new bakers there, but the cookies (peanut butter and chocolate chip - underdone and bland), the donuts (bland and underdone), the coconut macaroons (mushy and not toasted on the outside), were not very good - in fact we didn't finish them and threw them out. Usually all of them are guilty pleasures. The chocolate eclair and Napoleon were good, as was the lemon tart. Even the produce didn't look the excellent quality we are used to buying there. Disappointing.
Hopefully this was an aberration.
