Christmas plays until December 29 at the Kirby Theatre on the campus of Drew University. The Shakespeare Festival ends its season with a beautifully rendered production of Dickens "A CHRISTMAS CAROL". Delight in all the past memories of Christmas past, the sadness of Christmas present and the fear of Christmas to be. Relish the transformation of Ebeneezer Scrooge as he morphs from a mean, stingy old man into a man many years younger in spirit and full of hope and giving to those in need. Whether on film or on stage, Scrooge's transformation is always a joy to behold. As always, with this brilliant group of actors, directors and designers, the evening or matinee leaves the audience with the pleasure of having been a part of a great theatrical experience.. Still time to catch this wonderful Christmas tradition. No humbug this!

I took my 9th graders to see "Romeo and Juliet." Most had never been to a theater before. They were transfixed by this performance. The theater is just the right size to see all of the action. The actors were intense and dedicated to performance. And the best part was that most of the actors stayed after the performance was over. They answered my students' questions about the play with honesty and gave great insight into what preparations they make for each performance. We were all impressed by everything, including their dedication to the performing arts.

We recently attended the 3 Musketeers at this theater. All the seats had awesome views since the theater is very small. We really enjoyed it. The acting was very good and the show itself was also very good.
Highly recommend this place. We will be back.

This regional theater is a gem in NJ. I have been going there for years. Top productions of Shakespeare plays and other classic plays in a very comfortable venue with excellent free parking. Their season runs from May-December. Yes, refreshments are available. My only gripe is they seem to be abandoning their name and are doing fewer and fewer Shakespeare plays as the years go by.

This is a great small theater with comfortable seats and good sight lines. The production we saw was excellent; great acting and the sets and costumes alone were worth the price of admission. It was very well done. The only negative is that it was hard to find the actual building in the dark, even with a GPS, once we found our way to the Drew University campus. Once we found it, there was plenty of parking. I recommend taking a bottle of water with you because I did not see any refreshments in the lobby during intermission.

wonderful performances and not a bad seat in the house.classic plays that have been performed for hundreds of years. always love going there and i will be there this Sunday as well!

This is an outstanding theater group! We always have had a great experience when we have attended . the theater is on the Drew campus. it is a very convenient location and parking is great!

Beautiful venue, great performances, and reasonable prices make this a must for NJ theater lovers. The summer evening theater in the round outside at St. Elizabeth's is a treat. I see at least two shows a year here and I have never been disappointed.

Two good orchestra seats will cost $118.total.There are also balcony seats at $49 each or $98 for the two. The theatre is small with excellent sight lines. If you buy a subscription for the season, you will save. Great theatre at great prices.
