We had planned to go see a performance of "Hercules" but we came down with Covid in our house. I am from Massachusetts and planned to travel to NJ, especially to see a friend in the show. Beware that this is no contingency for a ticket refund, even in the case of Covid. I wasn't able to reschedule our visit before the show closed. I understand that the refund policy is very clearly spelled out but Covid makes the world a different place and exceptions should be put in place for this.
Theoretically, it seems like they would rather have someone attend the performance with Covid than offer a refund.
I opted for an account credit but who knows when I will be in Milburn NJ to see a show. I am very disappointed on so many levels.

We went to see "The Sound of Music" - a monthlong engagement that Paper Mill often puts on over the holidays. The cast was superb, and the stage production from costumes to set design to the lighting was top-notch.
We bought tickets a bit late and sat mid-level balcony all the way to the far left side and had a clear, unfettered view of the stage. Not bad for $50 a seat.
Holiday Tip: Avoid the crowded parking lot and park for free from Thanksgiving to New Years at the Millburn municipal lot just a few blocks away.

One of the best experiences at the playhouse in a long time. Excellent production of the The Sound of Music. From staging and orchestra to talent and ensemble, the Paper Mill exceeded my exceptions. The mezzo soprano could have shattered glass. Bravo

Exceptional facilities and performance. The venue is easily accessible in downtown Millburn, NJ. We were here years ago for the Christmas spectacular so we knew it was going to delightful. The seating was perfect. We got tickets early so our seats were several rows from the stage. We actually could see the orchestra down below the stage. Since this a classic tale of “Sister Act”, however the play was done different. Maybe because of copyright concerns for the songs and wording from the original version. In any regard, it was a memorable experience. Plenty of paid parking nearby for easy access to the theater.

Much applause for a fine performance of The Wanderer in a beautiful and friendly theatre, preceded by a delicious meal at the adjacent Carriage House (where the staff works incredibly hard to make sure everyone's well-fed by showtime).

A fantastic performance and well worth the trip out from New York. We were only in the city for 3 nights but rather than seeing a Broadway show came to see this musical based on the life of Dion at the Paper Mill Playhouse. We were not disappointed. Loved every minute. A beautiful theatre too and very helpful staff.

Saw the phenomenal production called The Wanderer. It's the story of Dion DiMucci, the singers early years. Great cast. Excellent!

we had not seen advertisements but learned of this show through friends. We were so fortunate to be able to get tickets for the Thursday night before the weekend of the shows finally. Such wonderful talent of singers, dancers and musicians captivated us throughout but the unique part was that video of Andrew Lloyd Weber was shown throughout the show and added to the fun.

I am attending The Honeymooners Musical and I was wondering about the attire. Some people say jeans are ok some say no. I was also wondering about sneakers. I have a very bad back, pending surgery, and two bad knees, post surgery, and I'm most comfortable in sneakers. Does anyone know if it is restricted or in bad taste to do so? Thank you.

There is no dress code. Feel free to wear whatever you want. Some people wear jeans and sneakers, others a little dressier. Few people wear suits and fancy dresses.

My husband and I want to make a weekend of it. Where is a nice reasonable hotel to stay in near paper mill playhouse over night?

All of the hotel suggestions given so far are the closest to Millburn Playhouse. There is also a Best Western in Westfield which is about 15 minutes from Millburn and also has a beautiful downtown area for shopping and dining. Enjoy!
What is proper attire to a Saturday night show? I read the website said semi casual but can you be more specific?( jeans, no jeans, dresses for women or shirt/tie for men, etc)

People tend to go out to eat before so they dress in more business casual. Occasionally you'll find someone in jeans,but the crowd is older and a little more sophisticated so business casual is best

there are lots of places in town. A very casual but very nice food and relatively inexpensive is Pita on Essex; there is also Charlie Browns, Saigon Cafe, Umi Sushi, Mr. Lee's, lots of restaurants within walking distance, check out restaurants, Millburn/Short Hills
