Quiet, small beach town. Mostly rentals with very few shops. Lots of restaurants to eat at. Clean and desirable for those who are looking for mostly beach time.

Sea Isle is a great place for families. Teenagers are in abundant but respectful. Live music during the summer. Great New Jersey Beach Town.

I have always loved Sea Isle City. Concerts are great. Wonderful environment. But there is not enough municipal/pay parking. I live at the shore and visit MANY NJ shore towns. Sea Isle is the only town we have left because there is NO parking available.

As it is not a traditional NJ boardwalk - it is the place to be! There are two arcades, lots of food and great "shore Shops" to peruse. I enjoyed walking in the morning and seeing all the bicycle riders. There is lots of activity during the night.

I’m here on vacation with my family from Maryland. I was riding my 3 wheel bike for a few hours this morning. It was so much fun! And there are some stores I went into!

I've been coming to Sea Isle for years and this is the worst summer in at least 20 years. 30th street restroom has black mold in men's room; wife says women's room is filthy, despite bringing it to the attention of cleaning people when they stop. Between 29th and around 32nd bushes are consistently littered with alcohol drink cans, presumably from young kids, since the cans are all sweet drinks, like flavored seltzer. Sometimes the area isn't cleaned for days. I pick up what I can reach, but I'm not going in the poison ivy. The cops obviously can't stop it, why can't someone come through every day and clean it up? Mayor blames it all on Trenton, so the situation is not changing soon. Take my advice--stay someplace closer to the center of town, this area is becoming a dump.

Our goal was to spend time at the beach in Sea Isle, but we’re let down. Finding a place to park was INSANE. There wasn’t much to do other than eat and hang at the beach. We ended up parking in a small ACME parking lot and walking to the beach in the evening. I’m sure that wouldn’t have been allowed during the day.

Laid back version of a boardwalk. Great place to walk, bike, and of course eat. No restrictions on bike hours, like some boardwalks have. They put dunes up (as they have done up and down the NJ coast since Sandy), so you don't see the ocean much from the Promenade; but still very nice.

Hi there. I left Sea Isle City on September 7, 2019 and prior to me leaving Sea Isle City the Promenade shops and restaurants were open. Most of the area seems to shut down the day after labor day, so it may be possible that some of the stores are closing weekly.
Enjoy your stay in Sea Isle City.

I have been going to Wildwood, NJ for the last ten years. As I am getting older, all the walking is getting to be too much for me. Are there hotels on the promenade? Is the promenade a long way from the beach and water like in Wildwood, NJ? Can you go there after the season and still have the shops and restaurants open? A boardwalk with shops and restaurants is important to me when I got on vacation. Am looking for that without the trip to the beach being such a long walk like it is in Wildwood.

The hotels are not really on the promenade, although rental condos are. Sea Isle prides itself on closeness to the water. No it is not a trek through the desert as in Wildwood. Many shops and restaurants are open throughout the year, even though many of us enjoy the quietness of the promenade post season. Again Sea Isle prides itself with a climate outside just the smaller Boardwalk, walking to the marinas from town center is quite easy. Sea Isle hosts venues that have been in business since the 40's or before, updated and mingling with 21C tastes and technology. Enjoy. Riordan Realestate is a family owned and run agency that could find the right home away from home.

Yes, it is overall quiet compared to other NJ beach towns. There is a marked quiet zone/neighborhood near the main street where signs say fines are enforced. I recommend getting into town towards early morning if you want to go on the beach when it is reasonably empty. Of course now that it is fall things will be even quieter!
