Good Sized Market

This is a good sized market with a number of vendors. Most of the booths were artists rather than farmers. Of course that could be because it is March and nothing much is in season. There are a few food trucks as well. Fun way to spend a couple of hours. Open Saturday and Wednesday mornings. Hours listed on the website.

Very upset. All info suggested
Market open Saturday and Wednesday. BUT Wednesday there was only a very few stalls. We had made a Special trip. Very disappointed

A lovely farmers market in downtown Las Cruces!

A bustling and lively farmers market in the Main Street of downtown Las Cruces, the Farmers and Crafts Market is exactly what it sounds like. There are a number of vendors selling their merchandize - from food and drinks to traditional Native American jewelry, curios, collectibles, t-shirts (often with funny captions!), produce, artwork, and what not. There was a festive vibe despite the midday heat when we visited on a Saturday in early July but we could feel that this is a happy place and a place where locals gather not just for shopping, but essentially for a regular fiesta. The farmers market is pretty sizeable - it is spread out over a few blocks on the main street. As far as I could discern, the main street, otherwise open for vehicular traffic, was blocked off for cars for the farmers market. In spite of the crowd, it was easy to find some street parking a block from the main street, the parking options looked sufficient. It contains an impressive assortment of locally made stuff and arts and craft and the locals and vendors were super friendly and cheerful. Definitely encourage anyone readong to check it out, if you are visiting the area - it will make your day better!

So fun! Lots of vendors along with farmers selling fresh produce. Las Cruces has a vibrant downtown area which is great to see in NM. With the music playing, there was quite a festive & positive vibe.

BLUF: NEVER go on Wednesday. Went Wednesday, 4/28/2021 @ 0830. Only 1 vendor selling peppers and pecans. The vendor state no one visits on Wednesday, only Saturdays so no vendors show.

Wanted to experience a large market of vendors with local goods but only saw a half dozen. No bathrooms open on the weekday but only on weekends. One vendor was extremely helpful with information that sold wood products.

A good group of vendors tightly controlled group of good ol' girls
Who set arbitrarily rules that only make sense to them.
The vendors are pawns so the market managers can collect the fee's and control the artisans
and craft persons by threat of excluding anyone who questions their rules or authority.
The market should be run to the benefit of the vendors and artists
not a group who only wishes to promote their own agenda.

Although there weren’t many vendors there last Saturday (corona virus concerns???) it was nice to buy local honey, baked goods, etc. and see lots of people and dogs. A great community gathering spot on Saturday morning. Hope to be back some day.

This Farmers Market is GREAT! So many vendors it's really worth your time to check it out. We went on a Saturday. The kettle corn at the end of the long street is very good! He can sprinkle on different flavors too! Get to this early before the long line forms!
