We loved the two hour trip! We started at 8:30am which was EARLY coming from Santa Fe, but having fresh snow was the best! We’d considered the 3.5 hour tour which sounded great but we were too cold and it was sold out anyways. Our tween drove her own snowmobile and had a great time. Staff was super helpful and friendly. Also the drive to Red River is gorgeous. We grabbed a bite at Shotgun Willie’s and then drove home. Left the house at 6am, home by 1:30pm. (We are a ski family but one of us has two broken fingers so we needed an alternative adventure.) Very fun vacation activity! We will definitely come back in the summer for ATV rides!

My husband and I have gone on several guided snowmobile tours in other locations and we took the 2.5 hour tour with Red River Sled Shed in March 2022. Our guides did an amazing job ensuring that everyone was safe and had a good time -- the number of guides was appropriate to the size of our group, and someone was always checking on people near the back of the group to ensure no one got stuck or too far behind. The scenery was beautiful and the whole trip from start to finish was conducted with professionalism and care. By far the best experience we have had with a snowmobile tour company -- we will definitely go on another tour with them again in the future!

This was the 3rd time we have taken a snowmobile tour with Sled Shed…as always, it was great! We took the 3 hour tour and saw some beautiful scenery! The snowmobiles are easy to drive and the guides are always friendly and helpful! We will definitely be back for a 4th time!

Highly Recommend! Do the longer tour! It was awesome! 30+ miles plus play time in the meadow! Super scenic in a winter wonderland! Guide Joe did an amazing job! Fun fun fun

This was our first time on a snowmobile and we had a blast on our 3 1/2 hourtour with Joe. We were able to enjoy some amazing views and secluded trails. This tour exceeded expectations.

Best time! This was my first time snowmobiling, husband's third. I had a Blast! I was a tiny bit nervous driving my own snowmobile but it went away quickly as soon as we got started. I was behind the guide, Tim, who is friendly and fun. We took the first morning ride. He got a feel for our group and off we went. It was like riding through a winter wonderland; snow covered trees, fun trails and So fun going up the fresh trails. I felt like we went fast enough, so we really enjoyed that. Top of the mountain was gorgeous, took pics and the ride down was exhilarating!!! I can see how some would feel as if it's hard for the little ones bc it is very cold, and hard for children to handle, so maybe consider doing this with teens. We did the 2 hour trip, which is long enough and brought a thermos of cocoa along, as well. We will do this again bc it was SO fun! Thank you Tim for making it a great experience.

The staff was nice and the snowmobiles operated sufficiently but the trail itself was terrible. They don’t grade it so it’s washboarded the entire way. It was extremely rough making the trip unenjoyable. We had little ones with us that cried the whole was because their neck was being jerked so hard from the rough trails. Maybe the should consider grading the trails.

So let's start with we have never been on a snow mobile. We were a group of 4 parents and two 15 year olds. The two hour tour was perfect for us. The machines weren't difficult to control as we rented three two person sleds. You have Tobe 18 to drive but the kids still loved it. Highlights were the valley where we could really take off on our own and the finish where we really opened it up for an extended period of time. Two hours was plenty as our hands were exhausted from the the accelerators. You don't need a private tour. Got great views at top of hill which was 11000 feet.

This is run by a super nice bunch of people and very nice sleds, well run, and priced acceptably
However this is a very slow trail ride through a meadow to the backside of some hills and another meadow.
It’s slow going 5-8 mph the entire way. With small children riding tandem with adults. There were 3 stops and shut down of engines/ and dismount, to talk within the first 15 mins. Using up valuable ride time
The entire trip was less than 2 hours. With the majority of the time spent talking and then driving in circles in a mostly flat meadow.
The owner said this is “a good beginners trip” ... we
Should of listened to that
For small children and people who have never ridden before this is for you.
For 30 yr vets of snow machines ... this was disappointing

The staff was extremely tired. They rushed up the mountain, even with inexperienced drivers (remember you are responsible for any damage), and their equipment is very dated and broke down on people. Very, very rough ride. Will not do again.
