Moby Dickens is an ideal bookshop for book lovers. The L-shaped ground floor houses popular books of every variety, ruled over by two resident cats. Upstairs are comfy chairs, autographed books and even a desk that's been autographed by many of the visiting authors. The owner is friendly, willing to chat, but just as happy to let you read and browse your way through the store.

Moby Dickens Books is a must see for any bookophile who enjoys looking for original works by New Mexican Authors, many of the works are signed. With chairs to sit & read in the store, it provides a relaxing space to explore books both old & new. For those who love the feel of a "real" book, Moby Dickens Books is a must see in Taos.

I could have stayed in this bookshop for months. The owner was very friendly and helpful. The shop itself is a fun place to explore. If you are a bookworm, I highly recommend this place!

Adorable shop, beautiful and multi level, the inside is well stocked with affordable new and used books. Helpful owners were very accommodating and very friendly. We felt very welcome the second we walked in the door.

The Moby Dickens Bookshop in Taos, NM is the real deal! It was so enjoyable to be in a "real" bookshop. I met the current owners (the shop was started in 1984 and a new couple bought it from the original owners) and learned that the shop is in what used to be the house of a guy called Long John Dunn and was built around 1920. It has old hardwood floors that creek when you walk on them and an amazing upstairs area for more books and author events. I highly recommend visiting Moby Dickens when in Taos!
