Excellent beginner slopes. If you need help or equipment, you’re screwed; half the staff can’t help and the other half won’t. Bring everything you need — lift ticket, gear — before you arrive. The waffle and burger trucks outside are really good.

The only reason this is not rated 5 stars is because their food and clothing was way overpriced…. Bring your own food even snacks as you’ll spend a fortune
Instructors are great… ask for

Belleayre is a really solid mid sized ski mountain in the Catskills.
It’s about an hour 40 drive from Rockland County, where I live, and I often drive up in the morning ski for about 4 1/2 hours about 12runs) and drive home in the same day. It is often not very crowded and there are plenty for lifts to keep you going without too many forced breaks.
I prefer it to its local competitors like Wyndham, Hunter and Gore, because it’s generally a little cheaper and less crowded (albeit a little smaller). There are pretty good food options at the lower mountain lodge, but the best skiing is on the upper mountain area.
While the mountain is pretty well-maintained, they can do a lot more to make more snow and provide a more consistent ski surface.

March 12 was spectacular. Nearly all trails were open with lots of groomed snow unlike meltdown at Hunter mt. No ice, ruts or rocks. Lifts open til 5.
And the price of tickets was bargain.

We had a great visit this weekend. This destination is well managed and great for people who are coming back to sking after a few years. I will visit again soon. Highly recommended!

I would have enjoyed my experience more if the staff wasn't so rude and racist. I was going up the ski ramp and the worker told me I need to have my snowboard on. I got off the ramp, but I noticed he let other Caucasian guests go on with their snowboards off (I'm asian). They were also rude to my friend who was stuck on the mountain. I understand that they shouldn't have been on the hard mountain due to their lack of experience, however the staff did not need to threaten to leave my friend behind because he was too slow in getting on the snow vehicle. We also saw an instructor yell at the little kid they were teaching who made a mistake saying something like it is against new york policy to blah blah blah.

Close to NYC. Perfect location for family and friends ski vacation. Ample parking for tailgating mid-day. The gondola is perfect for the new skier who is uncomfortable getting off a ski lift. I ski here every year and have already put together a group outing.

My Son In Law and I took a private lesson today to help us get more comfortable with the Black Diamonds, and I must say we were more than impressed! We thought we were pretty good skiers, but in one hour's time we learned a number of exercises and techniques and concepts that were extremely valuable. I'm 72 years old. I raced in college, but that was a looooong time ago. Now my confidence has been given a boost and I'm having more fun. I was very impressed with the quality of our instructor, "Bo", and am looking forward to putting his advice into action.

Very good mountain for intermediates the blacks are pretty short and the greens are very easy. Good place to learn. They have a gondola which is great for cold or bad weather.

I was scheduled to visit Belleayre Mountain Ski Center for 2 days in early Jan 2022. I paid $162 for a 2 day ski pass and $103 for a 2 day gear rental. I was scheduled to go together with 10 people for a birthday celebration and we had rented a house together. I did not end up going because I contract covid. Belleayre refused to refund my money even though I informed them in advance and requested a refund. They said I could come another time but coming another time would require coming on my own via public transportation and renting a place to stay, on my own, a which I don't have means to do. This means the credit is of zero value to me. The only way I could have used the money I paid is by going to the mountain while sick and potentially infecting all of their staff at their check in point and at their gear rental facility, which could have lead to other guests also getting infected. Because I made the choice not to infect their staff and guest they have decided to punish me by keeping my money. The only acceptable resolution is that they either give me free accommodation to come skiing another time or refund me $265. I recommend not giving your money to this company, because while all other merchants do their best to protect the health of their patrons by encouraging people to not come when sick and offering refunds if they need to cancel because of covid, this company does not. As a result there will likely be many more people who are infected at their establishment. It's also just an unethical way to do business.

There is no tubing at Belleayre but there may be at Hunter or Windham.

Not at the mountain but possibly at the rental shops nearby on route 28. I think I did see a sign recently as we drove by. Google the rental shops in the area and you'll find it.
