This is a quick hike with a great pay off at the top. You can certainly bring along kids and pets. Just hold their hand and bring a leash. It really is a steep cliff on top. A magnificent view for not a lot of upward hiking.

Always a great place to go. Beautiful views and we always meet the nicest people. On this occasion we brought stadium seats and had a great lunch watching turkey vultures soaring overhead. We were fortunate enough to spot a pair of peregrine falcon as we departed the nose.

We took my teens to hike up to the top. The hike was longer and a bit more challenging than we( the parents) bargained for but the kids were fine. The hike was steep in some places and therefore it was a little harder. It was slippery and hard to hold on in some places. But the view on the top is a big payoff. Beautiful! Massive sweeping green areas dotted with rural buildings and winding roads. Stay on the green trail and do not get off or you will get lost, like we did😒

had a wonderful time with our two small kids. took about 1.5 hours to do the whole thing on a hot day. most of the trail was shaded and the views at the top were fantastic vistas overlooking the valley.

This was a moderately easy hike to the top with excellent views of the countryside. Trial markers were well placed (though use of the color green may not be a great idea with the spring/summer colors in full bloom). You can keep an easy pace while still feeling like you're getting a workout in. definitely recommended for moderate hikers.

Easy to moderate hike for all. Perfect way to spend a morning or afternoon. We brought a picnic and enjoyed our lunch overlooking the gorgeous vistas! Sharp drop-off at the edge of the ledges at top so be careful with young children. Enjoyed this hike very much! A bonus is that your leashed dog is welcome as well! :)

Short hike to the top. 20-30 minutes. Upper third has some "steep" steps in stone ledges but you just need to take your time. It is worth it. If you cross the top and descend the far side it is really steep going down. Sorry I cannot recall the color trail markers on this side. We "skidded down from tree to tree" but I have done it many times and it's a blast. The view is breathtaking. I see that leashed dogs are now allowed, this is new. I would say go early if in day if on a weekend. Spend time at the top. Look at the carvings from the 1800's but please do not leave any new marks.
