Went here last weekend with a few other couples, and had a great time! The barn has a great rustic look from the outside, but is pristine on the inside with a tasting bar, some tables, and floor to ceiling windows overlooking the distillery room. We first had some drinks from the outside bar while relaxing at the picnic tables, and then went inside for a couple of flights and other tastings. We had dinner plans for later in the evening so did not eat much, but there was a food truck with some gourmet pizza options in addition to the food stand with the Hudson Valley Marshmallows & smores. There was music piped outside and the place had a great relaxed, rustic, yet trendy vibe. Not to mention great views which will be extra beautiful as the fall foliage colors start to peak. We will definitely be back!

I cannot speak in more glowing terms about my experience at Dutch's Spirits last year. I attended with a dozen of my closest friends and family for my bachelor party. Not only were the pours tasty and generous, this place steeped in history, and the employees were knowledgeable and accommodating beyond belief. We ended up extending our afternoon into the evening by renting out the distillery to watch the Yankees playoff game! (They lost, but a heck of a way to experience it!) It was really enjoyable spending some time with a few of the employees who stayed as well. Really great people.
This isn't some carefully managed distillery tour, but a comfortable, informal, AND tasty, experience. Beautiful premises as well.

Drove over an hour to get there and the place (after 12:00pm )was closed and no sign of life. Grass wasn’t cut because they haven’t been open for a while . Said it was open in the summer of 2018 well I was there July 8 ,2018 . Call first if no one answers don’t go!!!!!!

So sorry to hear about your experience. You visited when ownership of the property was changing and unfortunately old hours were incorrectly posted here. We have just re-opened the property with a socially distanced, outdoor tasting room and food trucks every Saturday and Sunday from 12-7PM, so we'd love to have you back!

This is a fun place to visit. We were given 3 chips to taste 3 different types of distilled liquor. The favorite was the ginger after dinner drink. After the tasting we were given a tour of the underground where Dutch Shultz made his illegal booze during prohibition. The tunnels are blocked off but the a visitor can imagine the distillers using the tunnels to transport their illegal booty. This is an interesting and worthwhile place to visit.

Debbie Gioquindo just published 'Tapping the Hudson Valley' and held a book signing a Dutch's Spirits, in Pine Plains, NY. Lydia and the Dutch's Spirits crew welcomed everyone into the bar area; there was lots of room to meet and mingle; taste wines and spirits, and gab with like-minded folks. The passion of everyone at Dutch's Spirits was visible and infectious.
Dutch's Spirits has a calendar of events scheduled, tours, tastings, and is available for special events.
This was our first time there and are looking forward to returning. The tour of the property brought out local and national history. There is a store with a variety of local items available.
The book is a great resource for long-time locals, new arrivals, and visitors. Dutch's Spirits up in the Northern part of Dutchess County is a fun new attraction to the quaint town of Pine Plains.
