I’ve been going there for years but was disappointed the last trip, They did not have the dark chocolate breakaway chocolate by the pound so I had to buy by the bag. The chocolate had white spots on it and did not taste how it normally does. I also purchased the 1/4 bag of white chocolate non pariels. That was absolutely awful. They tasted stale and old. Im not sure what happened on this visit but it was definitely not how it normally is.

This place is "heaven on earth" for chocolate lovers. Wide selection of home-made treats in white, milk and dark chocolate. Anything you pick will be wonderfully delicious! Bet you can't eat just one!

This was not to far from our hotel in Kingston., so we decided to make the short drive and check it out! It is a beautiful drive in along a pretty red iron bridge. It is small but the staff is friendly. You can smell the chocolate in the air the moment you walk in! There are all assorted chocolate bagged treats when you enter. We got some cookie dough fudge and brownie bites. There is a huge counter filled with a large assortment of chocolate where you can pick candies to make an box. Most of the candies come in milk chocolate, white chocolate, or dark chocolate. Nice afternoon quick stop!❤️

Great place for super-fresh and well-made chocolates. Our "go-to".....which we cannot get enough of.....is dark chocolate, sea salt caramels! Try any and all of their truffles as well. Nice people....service....clearly appears to be family owned and run.

The excuse was to get a start on some candy for my grand daughters lol.
Walking in the front for you are overwhelmed with the amazing smell of great chocolate and then you see it all!
Way too many happy choices and everything we bought - about a dozen different items - was fantastic, including a few goodies for the adults!

Our family loves visiting Krause’s! When you walk in, the shop smells like a combination of Main Street USA in Disney World and pure happiness!
Krause’s chocolate is delicious! They have an amazing assortment of chocolates to choose from... truffles, jellies, special molded pops for little ones and the most decadent and enjoyable s’mores candies ever! One of my other favorites is the chocolate covered jelly bears (sound weird but they are awesome!!). Krause’s also has a nice assortment of toys and cards too. The people who work there are always so nice and helpful, and the shop is spotlessly clean. Highly recommended!!

I’m very picky about chocolate. I bought 2 chocolate covered brownie bites for later and 1 cookie dough covered chocolate that smelled so good that I ate it as soon as I paid for it! My friend bought 1 pound of assorted chocolates that she refused to share with me! So so good!

The best chocolate ever❤️ Krauses is one of the places I suggest to everyone who visits Saugerties to go to. The assortment is outstanding and the prices are very fair.

Krauses Chocolate is an Ulster County tradition. I know people come from far away or tourists wander in and discover it too, but if you have grown up here like I have, it’s a local must. I love getting and giving Krause’s for holidays- there is something for everyone.
I don’t eat sugar anymore, so haven’t stopped there in awhile, but may pop in to see what they have as far as a sugar free chocolate selection.
