This gallery/gift shop in a restored Victorian building is worth going out of your way to visit. The shop features well chosen vintage and handmade jewelry, art, and ceramics. There's a fantastic selection of teas (and teapots!). With fewer galleries showing local art, this place is a treasure.

The proprietor was amiable, helpful and made my visit more interesting. The diverse items for sale makes me want to come back to find more treasures in this simply welcoming store. Go to The Hive and plan on relaxing and having a cup of tea or coffee while you shop.

Your visit begins as you are greeted by the welcoming smile of owner Theresa Spinelli who offers you one of her own custom-designed blends of loose tea or specialty coffee sweetened with local honey for you to enjoy while you browse countless treasures throughout the sprawling two-story newly remodeled Victorian-style home turned country-creative-chic art gallery and antique boutique. With a heart for local artists, hive provides a place to showcase their beautiful American-made new and re-purposed jewelry, clothing, home goods, crafts, and furniture. Get a gorgeous, flirty apron for the gourmet chef in your family. Find vintage hand-painted designer jeans for the artist and a collection of TIME magazines for the history buff. Whether you prefer to be left to experience a store for yourself or rather special attention from the owner, Theresa is intuitive, aware, and amenable. Save a little extra time to check out, because you'll love the way she takes a moment to make your purchase look like the most thoughtful gift to yourself. I spent years in specialty retail and had to share with Ms. Spinelli that my first visit to hive was "THE best retail experience I've ever had."
