Very enjoyable trail, lot if gorgeous sites. Differ, well marked routs to take. Guide at the office was very helpful.

We came to the visitor center on a very rainy day. Wild turkeys were walking around the parking lot. The displays were good. Be sure to see the film on Sterling, interesting. Nina in the center was especially helpful.

Me and my husband visited Sterling Forest State Park the end of July and really enjoyed our time there. This park offers parking area, visitor's center and restrooms. At the visitor's center, they're very nice and offer a map so you can start your hiking day based on the number of miles you plan to walk.
Hiking was not difficult based on our experience and the lake views are amazing! we loved the fact that even though swimming is not allowed, I was able to soak my feet in the water; so relaxing and peaceful. There were only a few hikers and since the park is so big, we hardly meet people.
I highly recommend this park specially during this difficult time when social distance is so important.
Plan your day at Sterling Forest State Park and enjoy it!!!

Went here for Father’s Day for a nice hike with our pups and it was great! Did the 4 mile lake route. There were some openings for them to go swimming as well which they loved.

This park is very nice. Good hiking available. I only visited Blue Lake (also known as Sterling Forest Lake). It is nice, although there is a large condominium complex on one end. Check it out

Loved the overview at the visitor center. Helpful and knowledgeable workers at the center sent us on our first hike. Great trails.

Great place to live and hike!

The Indian Hill Loop trail (yellow markers) is a pleasent hike among the hills in Sterling Forest. There is no real challenging part unless one takes the Furnace Trail down to the foundry. Nice way to spend the morning, even when it is cold. Total miles is about 4.5; total time was about 3 hours.

Visitor center is a good starting point. Has an interactive map the kids enjoy. Sign up for a guided hike/ tour. The history lesson is worth a million $

We only had a little time here but hope to return. Large and beautiful park. We saw remains of historical sterling iron works. Walked part of trail around lake. Nice visitors center
