We stopped into the winery on a quiet afternoon a few days after New Years, when many properties are closed. We were fortunate to have found Perrine, 10th (or 13th?) generation winemaker who offered to lead us through an extensive tasting. She was both knowledgeable and genuine; it seemed more like we were getting to know a new friend than having a "wine ambassador" explaining their product.
Visiting Philippe Raimbault was recommended both by wine community friends who are more knowledgeable of Loire wines than myself and by locals. Their vineyards on both sides of the Loire in Sancerre, Pouilly Fume and Coteaux du Gennois allow you to understand how the different terroirs influence the fruit and produce Sauvignon Blancs that are truly distinct from New World versions of the varietal. They also have an amazing selection of large sea fossils they've discovered in the vineyards!
Great visit and excellent wines.

Been visiting Domaine Philippe Raimbault for many years. Not only are the wines fabulous but Lynne's wine presentation in the cellar adds another dimension as she details the various family plots the wines come from , plus the work Philippe undertakes both in the vineyards and the winery. Always very informative but also great fun. Lynne can conduct the tastings in both French and perfect English.
Highly recommended.

We received a warm welcome on a beautiful November morning. After having a generous tasting of the white wines, with excellent guidance, we had a short tour of the infrastructure followed by a tasting of the reds. Wonderful experience thoroughly enjoyed by everyone in our group.

About ten years ago we found a tiny wineshop in Sancerre's main square, and the wines where fantastic! Now we just dropped in the vineyard on Saturday morning and we had a fabulous welcome! Tasted some fantastic wines and also bought some boxes. Our car was nearly full, but there's always some place for wines, especially for the good ones🙂

Sur les conseils du serveur du Café Des Arts, nous nous rendons dans le domaine Philippe Rainbault. Un escalier en colimaçon permet d’accéder à une belle cave enterrée. Accueil et dégustation par un sourire féminin. Découverte des blancs, du rosé et des rouges de Sancerre, Pouilly-Fumé et Coteaux Giennois. 🤗

Nous avons été reçu par perrine, la fille du vigneron. Nous avons passé un très bon moment. Les vins sont très bons, les prix sont abordables et nous avons appris beaucoup de choses sur l'histoire du domaine.
