Full Disclosure: this is my husband's review: Immaculate and groomed to perfection, it's the toughest of all the Turning Stone golf courses. It's a challenge, but what fun! Hard, but not impossible, just how a good course should be. The staff is friendly and helpful, and the resort is worth the trip.
Now my comments: lots of pretty flowers all around. The whole resort is landscaped nicely. I wish they had smaller sizes and a bigger variety of women's clothes in the golf store.

Very hard course for an amateur. Well cared for, but difficult. Play other course while you are there. The Golf Store is not a big deal at all. They claim they have everything.....not so. They have a free indoor driving range, but not if you are left handed.

Kaluhyat is reported to be the most difficult course in New York besides Bethpage Black. Have no fear, its not that bad. (Still about nine stokes too many for me.) There are some long carries and there is a premium on shot making. We played shortly after a heavy rain, so it played longer. There was no roll and some plugging in the fairways, but the greens were receptive. Ran into a group outing on the back that slowed play, but still got around in decent time. The Turningstone staff is well trained and anxious to provide a great experience for guests.

This is a very challenging course and worth the trip from NY! Well cared for and good service. We did not feel rushed at all. Great clubhouse too.

We played a round of golf at the Kaluhyat Golf Course on May 31, 2016. The weather was perfect...
Everyone that we encountered at this place were very nice, helpful and friendly. The staff really made us feel very welcome during our visit. The course was fun, but can't say that we were wowed by it.

This is a very tough course. It is also well kept, challenging and the staff was great. I would not want to play it every day but it is a course you need to play.

Toughest course in NY from the tips. Play the whites is more than enough for the mid handicapper. Beautiful course and scenery. Staff is excellent.

All the courses we played were awesome. Kaluhyat (G-AH-LOO-YA) was the most difficult but a great experience. Staff were awesome. Bar is good. Lunch is good. A must play golf course

Replayed this course in another NYSGA tournament. Unfortunately, it was pouring rain and had been pouring for at least a day in advance. However, despite the adverse conditions, we did play the course. The fairways were very wet and water did pool in low areas making the course play very long. The positive news is that the greens drained very well and although they were much slower than normal - there were no unplayable areas on the green. Bunkers also drained well. I will continue to play in this event.

Played in a NYSGA tournament in late May. Although it was early in the year, cool and windy, the course was in excellent shape and I enjoyed myself. Staff are friendly and service oriented. Driving range and practice facilities are excellent.
