We visited on a relatively calm day in early May, but you could tell from the swell and the landscape this is one wild stretch of coastline, even on the quietest of days. Climbed to the higher lookout above the beach which gave excellent views. From the lookout we could see the rips operating in the surf - this would not be a good place to take a dip. (I should add the beach is not patrolled.) Unfortunately we were not here in whale-watching season.

Walked to the top lookout with amazing view of conspicuous beach. Keep a look out for snakes though as we saw a large tiger snake as we headed to the lower lookout

There’s some great walking trails here to explore the cliffs and the beach area, well worth a visit for the stunning scenery.

Whale viewing platform where you may spot a whale in season. Salmon fishing on the Salmon Run. This like many of our South Coast Beaches is unpatrolled and has dangerous rips so swimming should be avoided. Great step off point for a day walk on the Bibbulmun Track... see comments on Walpole-Nornalup National Park

It's worth the effort climbing up to the lookout. Wild and windy - amazing coastline. Such natural unspoiled beauty.

This place was great to visit paths were great to ealk on and had clean toilets .. Too many stairs for me but my husband loved it

For me this was most beautiful part of the coastline from Denmark to Nornalup. Lots of flowers and blossom coloured the pathway and heath land. The views along the coast were good and once we had climbed onto the promontory they were outstanding. There is a path down to the beach but we preferred up rather than down. A Western Spinebill flew across the path in front of me and disappeared into the thick bushes. It was peaceful and relaxing. Saw no whale. The toilets found near the adequate car park are passable .

A bit of a drive off the main road, and part was unsealed but OK for 2 wheel drive vehicles. We were the only ones there so felt quite remote. Interesting rock formations on the beach and the cliff above give the beach its name. Best time to see it is in the afternoon/late afternoon to see the sunset lighting up the cliff formations. The Bibbulmun Track does cross the area. Solid path up to the whale watching lookout (saw heaps from there !!) and boardwalk and steps down to the beach. Only one picnic shelter. Drop toilets at carpark but area was sealed. We free-camped for one night in the car park.

Long drive amongst the trees and walk up to the cliff top. Amazing beach views and great swimming spot.
