We particularly wished to go to this winery to taste, amongst other wines, their 2021 Single Vineyard Reserve Chardonnay which had received rave reviews and high points from a number of wine commentators including Halliday.
There was plenty of free car parking and a short walk to their small but quite comfortable tasting room. Cost was $10 per person refundable upon the purchase of some wine. No issues with this.
Unfortunately the chap that was on duty this day advised that he mostly worked at Evans and Tate (Fogarty Wine Group owns both wineries) and whilst he was able to answer some very basic questions about each of the wines on offer it was obvious that he did not have an in depth knowledge of the Deep Woods wines although I have no doubt that he was a whiz at Evans and Tate as he kept referring us to their wines.
Thoroughly enjoyed the chardonnays and cabernet sauvignons.

Really enjoyable wine tasting experience.. The staff member or Sommelier was wonderful, very knowledgeable and made you feel at easy with comments regarding the wine I was tasting... Will return next time I'm down this way...

I did a wine tasting here and liked it so much I bought two bottles. Good range of different wines and prices vary, so even a frugal person like myself was happy but they also cater to more expensive tastes. Very friendly and knowledgeable. Will buy more.

This was our first visit to this cellar door. Very friendly and welcoming. Great views across the vines. Some really wonderful wines for tasting. This wont be our last visit here.

This was a very beautiful wineyard. Good service and they served us a lots of different wines. We liked the white ones the most! Don't miss this cute little place.

The winemaker won best Australian winemaker of the year recently and you can see why. The wines were stunning especially the cabernet Cabernet sauvignons. I ended up purchasing a number of bottles.

long list of wines, my pick the cabernets, but something for everyone
lots of recent awards
the premium wine tasted oxidised, but despite the server agreeing the wine was off, he didn't open a new bottle to try.... leaving me to wonder what it could have been like!!
cabernet my favourite though. some toys to keep the kids occupied helped a lot

Smaller winery in MR. We enjoyed the service and wines. One of the better MR shiraz in the region.
Worth a stop. Stop by the yallingup cheese shop as it is close and has great local cheeses and some imports.
