Professional and honest staff. Very good about looking out for us and avoiding frustration by recommending activities based on conditions and experience. Will not hesitate to rent our next time in town.

We rented two kayaks from them. Clean and solid boats , one even had a cooler with water on the back. The staff was friendly and extremely helpful. They assisted us in making a quick plan that set our adventure up for success. We were even lucky enough to have horse to watch. Great paddle!

Such a great surprise of an afternoon! The folks at Beaufort Paddle are wonderful. We rented a kayak for the afternoon while visiting this week it was fully stocked with a map, cooler of water, and life jackets. What was going to be just a trip around over to check out the nature preserve turned out to be a 4 hour full blown adventure of the entire island
Will definitely rent again when we return to our favorite little town.

The people at Beaufort Paddle are outstanding. The location is not so great. But we enjoyed several SUP trips along Taylor Creek next to Carrot Island, and a boat shuttle to and from, which is a great improvement over paddling out from the marina location of the business. Paddling along the windward side of Carrot Island can be done on windy days when being more exposed would make paddling very difficult. There is a nice trail on the island to see "wild" domesticated horses from, and a very nice educational boardwalk a little further East on the island, directly across from the Boathouse Marina. Be forewarned (we were not) if you are going SUP with sunglasses, you should be wearing floaties for them because you will lose the glasses in the water when you are asked to demonstrate a SUP fall and climb back onto the board. The water is not clear enough on even calm days to dive after them. Untold numbers of sunglasses are probably sitting off the shore of Carrot Island! The staff did a great job warning us to avoid the several oyster beds on the shoreline. SUP is a great group activity and family experience. Hoping there are more places in the area to explore next time!

Our second time back. Ron & his team are fantastic! There was 7 of us paddle boarding and we had an excellent time. After a brief introduction, we paddled over to Rachel Carson Island. A very nice trip- the crew had waters for us as well. They also have kayaks that looked fun. Thanks Beaufort Paddle!

I love kayaking, but my family members aren’t as comfortable with it, so we found this tour and it worked out perfectly. I couldn’t find any info on their website or Facebook page, but I called them and was signed up for the next morning. We paddled to Carrot Island, hiked, looked at birds and learned about the RC Reserve. Then we paddled over to Bird Shoal (past some horses) to look for shells and swim. Our guides were very knowledgeable and personable, asking what the group would like to do on the trip. No need to have kayaking experience, so book a trip and go!

I enjoyed a fantastic morning kayaking w Beaufort Paddle recently. Rod (the owner of Beaufort Paddle along w his wife) is extremely knowledgeable about the local area and much more incl. marine science and the environment. We paddled to the Rachel Carson Reserve where we saw tons of seabirds and down Taylors Creek where we had a great view of the historic district and saw a few wild horses too. I HIGHLY recommend Beaufort Paddle’s tours and equipment (available to rent to paddle on your own). There’s so much to see and learn in/around Beaufort - and you must get out on the water to really experience it!

Had an amazing morning kayak tour. Everyone at Beaufort Paddle was so friendly. Our guide Kenny was personable and very knowledgeable about the area. Rachel Carson reserve is a hidden gem. Be prepared depending on the tides you will get a workout.
We paddled to Bird Shoal island as well as Cart Island. Saw the feral horses lots of birds as well as other wildlife. We were treated to a huge pod of dolphins on our way back. Make reservations as they only do an am tour. Highly recommend.

My wife and I came to Atlantic beach for a belated honeymoon due to covid. I have kayaked many times and my life and my wife never has. We decided to do the tour and couldn’t be happier. Amazing from first point of contact until we left. I usually find atleast one negative to say in my reviews and I honestly cannot think of one. We will be back.
