This was a wonderful trail ride! Horses were calm, saddles comfortable, and Tim was very pleasant and engaging. The weather and scenery was spectacular.
If I had to make any suggestions... it would be for us to personally take more pictures. We were so into the moment that it wasn't until afterwards that we wished we had taken some photos to commemorate that we had finally been able to do our long awaited trail ride (had to reschedule 4 times due to weather/illness so this was attempt #5)
All in all though, a memorable experience.

Purchased a gift of $240.00 for my husband to ride. My husband called Tim, his daughter and emailed the website several times to arrange his ride, with Tim promising to return the calls. After many attempts to arrange a ride and not receiving a return call, text or email, I contacted Tim and explained the situation. Tim told me he would mail a refund if I would forward to him a copy of the gift card, which I did. Waited two weeks for the refund, then emailed him, 'perhaps it was lost in the mail'. No response from Tim, however, he mailed a refund of $100.00 So, I emailed him again for an explanation which I have yet to receive. If you will read some of the negative reviews you will see that he can be rude and obstinate. That has been our experience.

Tim was a great trail ride leader with so much knowledge of the Moses H Cone park. His horses were calm and fun to ride. Beautiful and well cared for. We had over a 2 hour ride. It was great and I will go back with other visitors.

The guide was very friendly, engaging, and helpful to both adults and young people. The views were lovely. Horses were well trained with individual personalities.

My sister and I rode with Tim today with his horses and had the most amazing time in Moses Cone Park. His horses are so lovely to ride and we had the best time learning about the trails and the history of the park. Would definitely recommend this for your trip to Blowing Rock NC.

Such a fun trail ride with Tim! His horses were excellent and so well taken care of. We are experienced riders and really enjoyed his wonderful horses and expansive knowledge of the area!! Highly recommend!

Tim is the best trail guide we’ve ever had! He had great knowledge of the land, great stories, and a wonderful love for his horses. The views were absolutely stunning and we couldn’t have asked for more! Definitely will be riding with him again, and will be sending my mom and her friend to ride with him in the very near future!

If it is raining you can call to request to cancel your ride with 3 hours advance notice. Because i have to haul the horses into the park, i like to know prior to cleaning, saddling, and hauling. However, we can ride in the rain :-)
We are a family of 4 and very interested in visiting and horseback riding but I would like to know costs and how long the rides are?

Rides are approx 2.5 - 3 hour long, and cost is $100 per person. Children must be 7 or older. Let me know if you have more questions!

Weight limit is approx 250 - give or take. As far as age, i can ride anyone from 10 up. Please give me a call at 828-963-0260 to book your ride or discuss details further. If i don't answer, please leave me a message, as it is a super busy time of year, and i am a one-man-show :-) Thanks

Do you actually remain seated on the horse for 3 hours? Any bathroom / porta potties along the way?

We do take a break about 1/2 way at the Carriage house and Manor house where you can use the restrooms, and walk up to the Manor house to see local crafts. Call me and we can discuss your specific needs. My rides are very custom.

We paid $100/rider, however, we were a party of all adults. Unless a child was going to be riding along with another rider, I wouldn't expect the cost to be different. Contact Tim though as I am sure he will do anything he can to accommodate your family. He is such a wonderful man....and very much a ''family'' man!
