Boardwalk is nice in that it goes through a big part of the town. Not much to see on the water but saw a few fish in one spot. I enjoyed it because we got some exercise.

We walked down the boardwalk after having dinner at Aqua. Beautiful area with little shops and places to eat along the boardwalk as you stroll next to the water.

We were Surprised by the Boardwalk in Duck. It winds along the sound and has many shops and sights. The whole family enjoyed it.

Really cool how the boardwalk seems to go on forever but has entrances to take you to all sorts of wonderful stores and restaurants. Beautiful views. Well worth a drive for a good portion of your day if you are in the Outer Banks.

Well kept up - and a great walk with even better views... morning or evening (can you say amazing sunsets)... the boardwalk is a great walk.. and then you arrive at cute little shops and boutiques! - we even saw an otter

Nice walk and you never know what wild life you will see, deer, turtles, bird with fish in claws, etc., Nice shops to go in, and lots of benches to take a break on or grab a coffee and duck donuts, or the ice cream along the way.

This is a very cool boardwalk that follows the Duck waterfront on Currituck Sound. There is shopping access and dining along the way. A nice walk in Duck, I guess it's a Duckwalk?

Great place to enjoy nature with your best furry friend! I’ve taken some really beautiful sunset photos here. As you’re walking along, be sure to keep an eye out for all the wildlife that’s around you. The town of Duck has done a great job integrating nature with development. It’s why we keep coming back.

My wife and I, and family when they are visiting, love to go up to Duck and enjoy the shop and food establishments and walk along the Duck Town Boardwalk. It is such a beautiful improvement that blends into the natural scape, and lets everyone enjoy the natural scene. Credit to the Town, businesses, designers and everyone who participated in creating this beautiful walkway. It is so relaxing, and very special for sunsets.

I love this boardwalk... nice shops along the way but mostly beautiful for a good long walk. Lots of wildlife and the view of the bay is fantastic !!

My guess would be the Hilton Garden in Kitty Hawk. It is 11 minutes from Duck proper. It is when you first get to the water and you either turn to go to Duck or Nags Head. The next idea is the Hampton Inn which is in Corolla and it is 12 minutes away from Duck. If you are planning to hang out mostly in Duck, you might want to choose the Hampton Inn because you won't be exposed to heavy traffic coming in and out of Nags Head toward Duck since you'll be on the other side of it.

You actually can fish and crab in designated areas. Go to their website (there is a link on the TripAdvisor "Duck Town Boardwalk" page) and there is a map of the boardwalk and park with fishing spots marked! Hope you catch a fish!

If you go during the summer (between Memorial Day and Labor Day) the stores do have evening hours (8-9). Before/after then, most close early (5-6p).

Do they require a license if you are just doing crabbing? If so is it the same fishing license?

Visit the Whalehead club, JK Restaurant if you love steak and Sunset Grill should be open for the season. Great sunset view there.

Most in Duck will still be open till Thanksgiving like Stacy said. Also in Nags Head the outlets will be open if you wanted to hit early Christmas shopping. Should be a pleasant experience that time of the month. Scarborough Faire will have most of it's stores open. I would walk around in there. There is a lot tucked in there.
