Definitely worth the stop along the Duck boardwalk near Aqua. They have milkshakes, cups, cones, floats, huge chocolate chip cookies. The ladies behind the counter are so nice too!

Plum crazy was great! We went there for ice cream and my son has a serious allergy to peanuts/tree nuts... They not only used a clean scoop but they went into the storage pantry to look up the ingredients for the cones. The went the extra mile and were part of the great ice cream experience we had a hard time finding. We will be back!

This is a really cute shop in Duck. Nice, local-made jewelry which is always a great souvenir and items are reasonably priced.

Lovely welcoming people who work there, especially to us odd sounding folk from the UK! Brill ice cream with amazing dark chocolate and raspberry flavour.
We popped a few times as we passed by on the board walk - always got a welcome, free sample and good service. Thanks!

I can't say enough good about this little shop! We went in in part becuase we'd seen the chalk board sign outside saying "free puppy cups". We figured any shop that would offer such a deal to puppies deserved a look. There were a whole variety of goods (necklaces, clothes, signs, prints) that were all made locally or by local artists. The shop keepers offered to answer any questions we had.
They also have a LOT of varieties of ice cream, and it's Hershey's ice cream. In fact all the ice cream we saw in the Duck Boardwalk shops was Hershey's but Plum Crazy had several varieties that the others did not. Add to that the HUGE portions we got for very reasonable prices and we were VERY impressed! They let us sample whatever flavors we wanted and the whole experience was just great.
We'll definitely return in the future!

My son and I were walking the Duck Boardwalk while my wife got her much deserved Aqua massage. As we were wandering around we came across the Plum Crazy Boutique. We stopped in and at first I thought it was just a local shop of neat items. But then my son found the ice cream counter. What a nice surprise.
The main reason for the 5 stars is how incredibly personable the person who was working was. I'm not sure if she was the owner, but she certainly took pride in her store. The storefront was immaculately kept and very inviting.
If you are in the area, stop in for some nice local goods and an ice cream cone.

This was well worth the walk to the south end of the Duck Boardwalk. Hershey's ice cream in a great variety of flavors. Great choices in terms of sizes, cones, and milkshakes.

I was so happy I found this place on our way out of OBX traveling back home. I wanted to get some souvenirs from our trip that were handmade and from local artisans. JACKPOT! Tons of unique stuff from clothing, candles, jewelry, pottery and wooden wall art. Beautiful shop set up, I didn't want to leave.

We found this little unique boutique 4 years ago on our first trip to Duck. At that time we started collecting the Southern Face Jugs that are sold here - a brief story behind them is provided in the shop. They are not for the faint hearted and I imagine some people find them plain odd / weird / scary even but there is a great story behind them and the fact that they are handmade and no two are the same is what has us hooked. The shop owner is also very friendly and personable and is another reason why we keep going back.
