Decipher is the best escape room I’ve done in North Carolina east of Winston-Salem, surpassing even rooms in larger cities like Raleigh and Cary. I'm a seasoned escape room enthusiast, with 30 rooms under my belt.
The puzzles were challenging, fun, and well-suited to the theme, with clever mechanical and electronic elements that enhanced the experience. The use of audio and lighting added to the atmosphere, and the final puzzle was a thrilling conclusion to the story.
One standout feature of Decipher is the unique start: players begin handcuffed and blindfolded. While this may sound intimidating, it fits the narrative and surprisingly you can still accomplish a lot with one hand handcuffed.
Our game master, John, was excellent—friendly, helpful, and enthusiastic. He offered just the right amount of hints to keep my team moving without giving anything away.

a good option for a large group. DT Escapes is better than a room experienced in another town. very well done. fun and challenging but not impossible.

I did their Decipher room today, and plan on coming to play their other room in the next few weeks. The place was welcoming, the rooms were just the right amount of thematic, and the rooms were a great challenge! It feels like in the current meta the rooms are more new player friendly, but they proved that a hard room, can still be enjoyable to all. The other person in my room was brand new to escape rooms, and he was already thinking about his next visit.

This was a great experience all around! The employees very welcoming and courteous and the room that we chose was a good challenge. This was my first time in an escape room and I’m amazed that we even have something like this in Goldsboro to be honest. We cleared the room with about a minute and some change (1 minute 41 secs to be exact) to spare. This was the end of a birthday celebration amongst friends and I definitely do it again.

This in town adventure is a great location and has plenty of roadside parking. The entrance fee per person is $25.00 and they have evening hours. There are different rooms you can choose from and the challenge is to escape your chosen room in 60 minutes. There is a guide to help you with clues. This hour flies by and really is a lot of fun. Lots of strange noises and the ambience of the room is really cool!! They also offer complimentary soda and ice cream before you enter the room. There are tee shirts you can purchase as well. You can make an appointment right on line to schedule your adventure! This hour is worth every penny🎉

Awesome time! It was my boys first time experiencing an escape room and we all had a blast. They cant wait to try another room and even do road trip of escape rooms.

This was super fun! We went on a date night and got mixed in with another crowd of 6. We are planning on going back to do the other challenge soon. Highly recommend and we escaped!

Stopped by to try their newest room, The Studio. While sad to see Heist retired, what they've done to transform the space and props from that game into The Studio is amazing. The entirely new story slowly unfolds as you work your way through the room and most everything flows together nicely. There are a variety of different puzzle types to keep you on your toes (and one wonderful piece of tech that we found both startling and fascinating).
The staff is friendly and go out of their way to give you a great experience. The complementary water and sodas are a great gesture to make you feel welcome.
This is hands-down our favorite Escape room in the area.

My sisters and I met for our monthly night out together. This was my first time going to an escape room and it did not disappoint! The moment I walked in the employees were very friendly and easy to talk to. They explained the rules and they even offered free waters and ice cream snacks. Had a group of 6 of us that did the "Decipher" room. Good team building experience! Lots of thinking and problem solving. Although our time ran out for our case (hour flew by quickly!), I enjoyed the time together. Will have to try the Studio room next time.
