This is a beautiful site. Even though they had the trail under the falls restricted due to falling rocks, it’s still well worth the short walk to the falls. There are steps involved with this walk, so not really wheelchair friendly, but an easy walk for people who are ambulatory.

So majestic, and peaceful but intimidating. Not a long walk and something worth the stop. Handicap accessible

We have been to Dry Falls so many times and it never ceases to amaze me! The walk down to the falls can be a little tricky, especially if it's cold (icy). There are handrails for the steeper areas. The parking lot is small, so you might have to wait on the road for a spot to become available. It is definitely worth seeing again and again.

Very scenic drive to the falls, especially when we went with beautiful fall foliage. It was worth our hour+ drive to be able to walk behind the amazing watefall. We are in our late 60's and very easy walk to the falls.

This waterfall is certainly worth the stop. It is right off the road. It was busy but we waited a minute to get a parking spot. There is an easy path to a lookout but if you can take the steps down to the falls. There is a $3 fee collected at a fee station. We put our money in the envelope but then it looks like a national park pass would be accepted. There are restrooms. Very close to HIghlands. You can walk behind the falls. We weren't expecting there to be much water since it hasn't rained for awhile but there was plenty.

Beautiful falls and wasn't crowded at all on a Sunday morning. Easy parking too. Do this if you're in Highlands.

Went very on a Sunday morning to avoid the crowds and this epic waterfall did not disappoint! I actually said to my husband "OH my! WOW!" when we got to the bottom of the stairs and turned down the path to see the Falls (it's slippery down the steps, so be aware) and was overwhelmed by this epic strong waterfall in front of me! It was beautiful and amazing! There are 70 some steps down (and up) and they are a bit slippery and the path winds a bit, but just take your time and enjoy this natural beauty!

This was an awesome waterfall and an easy walk. You get to walk behind it and there’s a bunch of angles to view it from. Definitely a lot of people, but parking is limited, so that does help control how busy it is.

After paying the $3 parking fee on the honor system, the walk to and behind this waterfall is not to be missed. The pathway is paved until you get behind the falls. It was not slippery. There are many stairs in both directions but otherwise is easy to get to and should not be missed!

Dry Falls is about 20 minutes from our VRBO in Highlands. Is there a fun restaurant to eat lunch after our Dry Falls excursion that’s nearby?

From descriptions, it seems that one has to take the stairs to get close to the falls. My sister uses a mobility scooter so can't do stairs--how good is it without getting close? Are there any other falls you'd recommend?

Although she can't get down the stairs, which are challenging, she will still be able to see and hear the falls. Take a video with your phone so she'll see what she missed as it's mesmerizing! Enjoy

Except for icy conditions, you can walk under the falls.
Is this an easy hike? We have couple people with bad knees

There are a few stairs, but not terribly many. The hike is very short. No more than a 1/2 mile each way . The entire walkway is paved. The stairs leave the visitor parking lot but do not last too long. I do not believe it to be a strenuous hike.

Yes correct there is an area at the top that is accessible, but the path down in places steep and wet, and has several sections of stairs.
